Numidium's Awareness

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 11:50 am

So how aware is Numidium? Is it in an unconscious or dreaming state unless it is activated by the Mantella or Heart of Lorkhan? Can it perceive the world around it when it isn't activated? Or does it have no sentience or awareness at all, being just an automaton?

If it is self-aware, I imagine it wouldn't have destroyed itself the second-time around.

Wasn't Numidium destroyed? How can it be aware if it was destroyed? Wasn't Numidium a machine?

Maybe it was depressed.

I think of it a bit like any dwemer automatron. it can make simple desision and sort of adapt, but that it has no sense of 'self' or sentience

I think of Numidium as a glorified Imperfect. A robot with a super-weapon. But it isn't "alive".

I thought the entire point of building it in the first place was so they would no longer be aware, at least in any mundane sense. As for an awareness of it's own, beyond the Dwemeri minds, were they that powerful as to create what would in effect be a life?

The Numidium is beyond awareness. Awareness, as we think of it, is something that happens in space and time. My pants catch on fire. The heat travels through space, and after it reaches my nerves, I become aware of it. The Numidium destroys space and time whenever its turned on.

Doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'm pretty sure if a cannon destroyed space and time, it would still be not aware that it is a cannon that destroys space and time.

Hi all, ubiquitous first time poster intro, one of my personal crazy theory is that Numidium is (or is somehow related to) Kinmune. y'know time traveling robot and time breaking robot
