And after a few years it'll be horribly outdated like every other piece of computer hardware.
There is a point where cost to benefit ratio is exceeded. This is far beyond that line.
Cards like that aren't meant for gamers, they're meant for seriously high-end CAD work.
I am curious, can the TITAN Z deliver more power as the AMD Radeon R9-295x2 ???
Great. I'll just stick this puppy into my $400 tower and force the PCI and USB ports to leave the unit for over-valuing the component market.
Good grief, this thing's a beast. I can see video producers using it, and maybe a few die-hard gaming fans, but the general public?
A bold move on Nvidia's part, to say the least.
I bet it'll be half that price after one year.
Are you kidding me? 3 grand? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztVMib1T4T4
Why do most people think these types if video cards are for the average PC video gamer?
These expensive video cards are for astronomers to map out the universe in 3D, scientists to do scientific research like detecting new types of cancers and for finding cures for cancers, etc.
Well, guys there are many software out there that can assist the term CAD, but have a look here:

I thought it was Quadro my bad thought it said that some where. Enthusiast video gamers is another one you are right.
What's ridiculous is that you can buy two Titan Black for the same performance and spare 1k$, while not having to deal with any kind of disadvantages.
So calm down, it's nothing else but a stress test. Just like the first Titan was, if I recall correctly Nvidia even said they were surprised how many people bought it.
