At the upper end of mid-range, probably a 560. Lower end of mid-range, a 460.

Don't touch a 465 ever. Utter garbage, shouldn't have been made.

Theres a current batch of benchmarks I just found, and it's a close race, but nividia GPUs can be bought through EVGA, with good warranty that includes OC damage.

That sways my preference quite a bit.

6950 raqes 560 -.-
no such thing as ati anymore
and crytek+nvidia are bff

You got you're info mixed up.

The 560 ti is one hell of a performance card, it sits performance wise with the 6980 actually.

Benchmarks show that the 500 series take the over all lead over the 6000 series.

Personally, i dont care which brand i use, as long as i am happy with a product.

With that said, there are applications where ati is better than nvidia, and vice versa.

Do you're homework, check the stats, buy what you feel happy with.....it is YOU'RE money you are spending, who cares if someone else says this brand is better than another, just because one user is happy doesn't mean that you will be happy as well.
6870 is pretty much on par with 560
6950 raqeS IT ALL DAY LONG IN EVERY SINGLE GAME
560 is not a good buy right now it needs to be 30bux cheaper
you either buy a 6870 or step up to 6950 then you step up to 570

Looking for the fastest single graphics card? Look no more, Radeon HD 5970 after 1.5 years is still dominating the market as the fastest graphics card. It's one amazing card. Although if your looking the best performance on 2-3 cards in sli/crossfire you should pick the 580gtx. (Although it's gonna cost you quite alot).

No no, it's like this.

5970 > 580gtx
580gtx2 > 5970 2
I guess that some people just have never been that good when it comes to maths.

There's almost no difference in them at all. I don't care what the fanboys say, but it's true. I used to have nVidia then I built a new PC with a better AMD card.

I don't game very much on my PC anymore since I bought the 360 but I've owned an Sapphire ATI Radeon 4850 HD for 2 years now and it's run everything I've thrown at it with 4GB of memory and an E8400 processor @ 3.0GHz. I love it!

Note: I have no experience with NVIDIA so this is quite biased lol.

All the ATI cards i've had have died within a month, I have 6 Nvidia Cards in different computers, they all still function perfectly.

I have- 4 TI, 5700, 6600 GS, 7600 GS, 8800 GT, and a GTX 260 Maxcore 55 OC.
