"Regarding DirectX 11 support, which would allow for more advanced graphical effects, Camarillo said, "Crysis 2 will support DirectX 11 but we'll talk more about that in the future. There's an announcement coming soon about that."
nathan camarillo,crysis 2 executive producer,said that c2 will support dx11.
he's the damn executive producer, what else do you want?
dx11 will come, sooner or later, but it will come.
Yes I know I posted this link myself a few times. But if Crytek wanted to clear this up and say "Yes Nathan Camarillos statement was correct Crysis 2 will support DX11 and we are working on that now" why not do it? And if they don't want to do that then it's worrying.
Basically my understanding is that yes. They have committed themselves publicly to DX11 but it's not unheard of for an organization to back out of something like this. And the official statements remind me very much of the things that might be said by somebody who is planning to duck out of a verbal agreement.
Everything is rather vague and the term DX11 is rarely if ever mentioned, it's become "a patch" and "the issues". In fact the announcement oh the 29th is so vague it reads almost like a mission statement for the patch, I mean if they really wanted this thing could probably branch out into other industries.
