That's a Laptop, so that method is not applicable.
Optimus doesn't work like that.
An Nvidia software driver decides what tasks need more graphics power. So, for basic tasks like checking e-mail, installing software, or creating a document file, those tasks are recognized by Optimus as non 3D-intensive tasks.
So, for those tasks the dedicated GPU will be turned off.
However, if a 3D game is launched or a Website begins playing high definition videos, the dedicated GPU should be instantly (and automatically) enabled.
So Optimus technology relies on Optimus profiles. For those games that it doesn't work, the user should make a Optimus profile manualy !!!
This can be done in two ways:
By right clicking on the application (or game) shortcut and selecting the "run with graphics processor" menu or by creating an application profile(s) that are accessed via the nVidia Control Panel.
Disabling the Intel iGPU will cause the Laptop to malfunctioning. !!!
...except there is a switch on BIOS that you can turn off Optimus. (by selecting either the iGPU or the dedicated Graphics card)
Try that:
