Upgrade your graphical drivers to the latest ones available for your graphic card. I've check if your Gpu can support the OpenGL 3.1 and all I got was two different types of information one saying yes and the other one no. Anyway, if after upgrading to the latest drivers you still can't start the game then you will know what the graphic card doesn't support it and you will have to buy a new one.

well i tried upgrading my Nvidia and i got a message sayin the following:

This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics driver.

Does that mean that i cant update at all? like i dont get it, it shows that i have Nvidia and all that, I play WoW and Rift and not a single problem. Hell, i have badass graphics, yet i try to run Brink and it tells me this and causes me aggravation.

So where can i find the config tool? maybe tru there i can find more. And why change the resolution? anyway, i appreciate the help. So if i cant upgrade the Nvidia graphics/driver that i have, does that mean that im literally effed and i will have to buy a new one? cause i so cant afford one right now -__- and this is just waaaaaay to much hazzle just to play Brink. Yes is an awesome game but cmon...

Thanks for the help,

you should try your laptop's manufacturer site for driver updates, the stock nVidia ones won't always work on laptops, manufacturers use modified drivers

Did you uninstall the old driver first? And what about your motherboard driver - when was that last updated?

Not uninstalling a driver could lead to complications. Data from the previous driver might be conflicting with the new one...it's hard to say. What I normally do is:

1. Control panel > uninstall programs

2. Find the driver and uninstall it. If it isn't listed as Nvidia, it should be listed as something along the lines of "video driver" or "display driver"

3. Go through program files after uninstalling it (probably have to restart first) and look for anything "Geforce" related then delete it

4. Run http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweeper-%28Setup%29_d1655.html and pick NVIDIA-display then clean up whatever it finds

5. Install new driver

And your laptop has to have a mother board because that is what all of your hardware gets plugged into. The drivers for that are probably listed under the manufacturers name or something.

EDIT: WHOA, HOLD UP "FATAL ERROR: The current video card / driver combination does not support OpenGL 3.1 or newer." G210m's do not support OpenGL 3.1 (only 2.1) according to NVIDIA's http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_g210m_us.html and you need that to run this game. A driver isn't going to fix that, you need a whole new card :cryvaultboy:
