nVidia Surround: broken HUD and shadow are messed up.

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 4:25 pm

As the title says, the in-game HUD is completely broken. This is the same problem Skyrim had on launch, and still has this problem TO THIS DAY as the issue is only fixed via a 3rd party program called Flawless widescreen.

On top of which, when playing the game in nVidia Surround the shadows begin to disappear and are outright not displaying correctly. Again, a problem that ONLY occurs in nVidia Surround:

Here's an example of the really broken HUD:

PLEASE FIX Bethesda! Please do not allow this game to continue to be broken for nVidia Surround for 4 years like your last Creation Engine title.

Here is a link to the thread that is discussing the problem:

Agreed, wish we had proper multi-monitor support. Unplayable on Nvidia Surround 21:9

In addition: The latest nVidia drivers do not have an SLI profile, even though nVidia advertises how we should "Learn more about how to get the optimal experience for Fallout 4."

Agree 100%. It is totally unacceptable that in 2015, Bethesda still does not support ultra widescreen resolutions. We should not have to hope and pray that someone creates a 3rd party tool to get your game running properly at a 3-screen resolutions like 6048 x 1200. As it sits right now, this game is unplayable for me. Soooooo disappointed, Bethesda.

I'm dissapointed myself. This tech has been around for several years now this is unacceptable.

I tried 3440x1440 which is basicly the same Aspect Ratio, tweaking the resolution on the ini files makes it work fine. You should also tweak the FOV maybe, and run borderless window (Also in the ini) so you get good performance.

However, the hud stretches out and is really ugly.

Bethesda bethesda-ing.

Hi, this is my first post here and i′m doing so to complain about the lack of proper support to ultrawide and multi monitors.

I managed to use in 21:9 (2560X1080) tweaking the ini files, but like already said, the hud stretches and for me, the biggest problem is the fov\perspective to use the pip-boy. The menus got pretty bad to navigate and even identify, since the distance is increased and the pip boy looks like a mobile phone with a fov higher than 90.

Please, look into this asap.

As above, multi-monitor on AMD Eyefinity 5760x1080 is lacking. The game itself displays ok, however the HUD/pip-boy is out of scale. While listed as "Confirmed bug: Minor issue", a fix for this is straightforward compared to other issues.

It's my first time posting, but for the same issue that has impacted FO:3, FO:NV & Skyrim.

No support for my three monitor surround setup? Really...should I list the games from JUST this year that have support for triple monitor, surround or eyefinity? I think it would be easier to list the one that doesn't > :sadvaultboy: <

If I had even THOUGHT this would be an issue, I wouldn't have bought the game until this support was by default.

In case this hasn't been posted, the community went ahead and did some work for Bethesda, for free might I add:

http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=30431&p=162274#p162274

HUD is fixed, the messed up shadows have been fixed, and the FoV is now adjustable.

Now the only thing I need to even start playing the game is an SLI PROFILE! Please post SLI bits if you have a workable SLI profile.
