Oasis was a wooded area because of Harold and Hertbert so wouldn't make much sense. But from the shorts it seems there's a bigger variation in the areas such as one looked rather swampy.
There could be a hydroponics experiment lab in the Institute that ~looks~ like a pristine pre-war forest, I suppose.
