OBGE freeze upon loading a saved game

I'm trying to get the 3.0.1 version of OBGE the one on the nexus to work but the game freezes after a few seconds on loading a saved game with the OBGE core main + standalone effects,

Also with only the the core version, I don't get an OBGE.ini file generated though the game doesn't freeze.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? I've used OBGE v2 before and it ran fine but it was on a different rig, the current graphics card I'm using is on AMD's A serie igpu.

If you run oBGE for the first time, there is an appreciable delay as the shaders load for the first time. Wait it out. This is my recollection when transitioning to OBGE a few years ago.

It isn't just a normal delay with the shaders hooking up on loading the game, I get an real infinite "freeze".

Well, hopefully I figure this one out. I think it maybe related to either the drivers or graphics card.
