Objects appear late just after being hided by weapon in Dx11

Post » Sun Mar 03, 2013 5:56 pm

Hello,

I have a stange bug, only in DX11 (everythings works fine in Dx9).
The objects appear just after being hided by the weapon.
Here a video : http://youtu.be/WPQLGkJQ9lM?hd=1

I tried a fresh install of Crysis 2 and my Nvidia driver 275.33. I tried all settings in low, with no cvar and no hd textures, but nothing happens, I have always this bug.
I have also a fresh win7 install, but I don't understand where this bug come from..

Anyone have this Bug, any ideas how I can make it disappear?

Thanks in advance

My spec:

Windows 7 64bits
core 2 duo E6750
4Go Ram
Gforce GTX 460 (768mo)

I too am having this issue. I've tried different Nvidia driver iterations with the same result.

My specs are as follows:
Windows 7 64
AMD X4 950
8Gb RAM
GeForce GTX 460 SLi

It looks like the only thing consistent with our systems is the OS and video cards; I get the issue with SLi on or off. I know that they use a different hardware object occulsion system under DX11, my guess would be that it's causing issues with the 460's somehow.

Turning objects down from Extreme to Ultra fixes the problem, but then you lose a lot of the DX11 goodness.

Thanks for your response..
For me, even if I turn object down tto Extrem, the problem is always here.

It is a bit strange that few peoples seems to have this problem. My system is really common and I have a clean environment (everything fresh). Maybe it will be fixed by a new patch (I hope) or a new nvidia driver..
Or maybe there is a cvar we can try, which can change the objects occlusion "timing".

I have this problem but only with water in the distance. Also the suit sounds AWESOME with that language!

I have the same problem here, but I'm running a Radeon 6970. My specs are:

Core i7 860
4GB DDR3
Radeon 6970
Intel 160GB SSD
Windows 7 64-bit Pro

I'm using the latest 11.8 Preview drivers, but I had the same problem using 11.6 Catalysts.

When i roll my gun across a scene, objects that completely disappear behind the gun are delayed in being rendered again when they reappear after I move my gun across them.

it seems to be the same thing...

I tried the new nvidia beta driver 180.19, but nothing changed. I hope Crytek is aware about this bug, it is too disturbing to play in dx11..

I find this :

"To improve performance further hardware-based occlusion culling has been implemented, resulting in performance improvements from objects and scenery out of view not being rendered."
Here

I am sure that's why we have this problem, maybe there is a way (cvar) to disabling the hardware occlusion culling and make it working like dx9....

Of course, the new 280.26 driver did not solve the problem.
There is this command variable e_HwOcclusionCullingObjects but I could not make it work..

I changed my cpu (i5 2500k), with motherboard (asus p8p64 le) and new memory (corsair).. So I made a new windows 7 64 bits / Crysis 2 installation.. But damned, nothing changed..
I want to play with DX11 !! :)
To bad because the game is far more playable in DX11 with the new CPU... :(

Did you find a solution to this? I'm suffering the same problems in crisis 2 and 3. seems they have not fixed whatever was causing the issue and it is driving me crazy!
