Et oblitus est
Many years ago, the great Caesar pushed westward hoping to conquer all the tribes west of Colorado, with the help of his Legate Malpais, the Legion was a burning ember scorching the land beneath there feet, slaughtering, and enslaving anyone who resisted them. Before Caesar could push westward, Malpais sent out a scout “thee” scout for the Legion a man by the name of Laevis.
Laevis was known to out run a mature deathclaw within a quarter mile, and could run across the old state of New Mexico within a week; He knew how to survive off the land better than any Ranger. Though not known to be an upfront Battle hardened warrior, his skills were the Assassinations he made during night raids. Normally teamed with a contuberium of frumentarii, he could swiftly infiltrate a Tribes camp killing everyone without making even the slightest noise. Some say he embodies the Ancient tribe of the Apache Warriors, some say he is not of this world with how fast he moves. His story is that of legends with the older Legion members while his younger Legionaries look up to him as a hero even at the age of 32 he still looks and runs like he is 19. When Caesar gave Malpais the order to move his Legion across the Colorado, Malpais gave a order to Laevis personally. Scout the Northern Territories to make sure no NCR would Flank them from the North and splitting there ranks.

Chapter 1: heroes’ vale.
“LAEVIS! TO MY TENT … NOW!” Malpais commanded with a thunderous voice. Laevis drops his spoon into his bowl of mole rat stew and runs off to the Legates tent, before the red velvet door stops swaying Laevis halts looks up. “Ave! Legate Malpais how may I be of service?” Standing up Straight, right arm extending out almost to strain him. Malpais gives off a stressful sigh, sitting back in his wooden chair Malpais stares at Laevis for minutes, without a flinch Laevis holds being “at attention”. “Laevis… we have orders from ed.. Caesar that we are to move out and occupy the Mojave.” Leavis makes a quick glance down at the Legate with a near shock and awe look. “Sir, the NCR Rangers are flooding that area as we speak, this Campaign will be long and… SORRY TO SPEAK OUT OF ORDER! Legate” a Stressful looks consuming Laevis face. “Leavis.. Drop the act son.. Let’s speak freely as gentlemen would.” Leavis relaxing his arm grabs a chair and sits himself in front of the Malpais desk. Looking on the Legates desk he can see it overwhelmed with maps and orders. “Josh, what does Caesar need of me?” Malpais taking a drink from his cup and setting it down quietly looks at Laevis with a griming half smile. “Laevis, you have served the legion better then any man could, you should be at the right of me Commanding Cohorts, but your talents are your curse… we need you to make ready for a … mission” Laevis taking a drink from his Brahmin Bladder wipes his mouth “yeah, how long of a road trip this time?” Malpais looks down and shakes his head. “Laevis, we need you to head north into Wyoming and then down through northern uta..” before the Malpais could finish Leavis bursts out “josh what in the hell? Utah is still flooded with radiation, the NCR would never occupy this area!” Malpais looking at him and scowling “I didn’t say to live there I said I need you to scout out a northern route through Wyoming along the I-80 roadway to secure a path north and be a look out for any NCR that might be coming up through that way. We… I need you to use that god given talent of yours and move into the area known as “Washington” and report back into the southern Utah and give whatever reports you make to the First Centurion you come across, I will give you a special phrase that I will tell all my Cohorts camped in that area so they know you are a friend, and Edward has given you a special gold medallion in “your honor” HA! That’s a load of crap, in case you run across any of those halfwit Legionaries that won’t recognize you.” Laevis taking a huge gulp from his bladder bag, then pouring some water over his long Black hair “Right… what is this pass phrase I need to know?” Malpais places his fists on his desk, creeps down into Laevis face. “The Phrase is “Bulls on Parade”. Malpais whispers to him. A childish confused look on his face and he repeats “Bulls on parade? Really?” Malpais falls back in his chair “Yeah! Really… Edward came up with it himself… did you imagine it sound any different? Go get your things ready, Ill be with you momentarily.. I have Centurion who forgot how to keep his Contuberion in rank”

Laevis stands up Stretches out his arm “TRUE TO CASEAR!” Legate Malpais starts to wave him off. “Yeah, remember what the Frumentarii training has taught you, stay in disguise to match your appearance. No football pads.” Back at Laevis tent he begins to go over his gear, Gecko reinforced Leather armor, His special modified 14” barreled Hunting rifle, Throwing spears, and his engraved Gladius, alongside his homemade poisons that he even gets nervous about carrying in his pack which he calls Cobra spit. His Bladders for water, pre-war maps atlas of the area he will be scouting. While Rolling up his Maps and putting the finishing touches on his Armor, he could hear the “clinking of metal” walking towards his tent. “Laevis… you about ready to depart?” Leavis stands up straight, and turns around slowly. “Yeah I guess I am…” Malpais walks over and gives Leavis a big bear hug. “Remember, if you decide that you loose faith in the Legion, do this for me and your brothers, you will save countless lives by doing this, now come on I have a Caravan that will take you to your drop off spot nearing the Wyoming boarders.” With a big grin on his face “can’t wait!”
