[RELz] Oblivifall - Losing My Religion

Just a bug report. Wrye Bash doesn't report any conflicts with other mods.

I originally saw a naked person in Dibella's chapel....but I actually believed that was okay. I mean, they're supposed to be fond of beauty right? No shame in admiring the beauty of a human body?

BUT...I visited Arkay's chapel in Cheydinhal next, and it looks like there is quite a few nudists around...

EDIT: I also encountered some strange healing bugs. In the first I was frozen in place, and I had to reload. I went to test Cheydinhal's healer again, and this time it worked. (I think someone might have bumped into me and pushed me away from her the first time) But the second time I had my scamp with me (I know, I know, no daedra allowed inside the chapel :P ) and after she healed me, the Scamp began attacking her! I guess it was really protective of its summoner....

Oh my, Hill the Tall seems to cover himself. :P

Heh, I never saw that happened before. I added the outfits via a script. Well, that'll change now. I'll do it directly on the NPC. Maybe the script did not initialize correctly for the Priests' clothing. Still, that was a very funny bug!

Thanks for the issue on the healing bugs. I'll check it out as well! (And I'll try to make summons avoid killing the people in the chapel! :P)

lol. I laughed when I caught that. Lucky I came in during prayer. :)

Hahaha This is simply the Circle's latest attempt to reach out and draw in new congressional members. Hill the Tall bares all! Making church more popular with the Dunmer ladies since......Losing My Religion, anyway. :P

In the case of the Knights of the Nine, you get access to ALL restricted areas. So it's not "that" bad. :P

Oh, thats not bad then i guess :P I just thought that all the features of joining would be accessible for you at all. :)

I commited a crime in the chapel of Julianos and whats-his-name Aundae there came to arrest me in the name of the chapel. But, when the greeting finished, no dialogue topics (go to jail/pay gold/resist arrest) appeared. Looks like something's wrong there. Or it's a mod conflict, I am using Reneer's Guard Overhaul. Any ideas?

edit: Also because the bounty is not resolved, every time I exit dialogue with him he just tries to arrest me again and again.

Good show!
It's been in my loadorder since ver.1.0

Found my former PC's tomb in Cheydenhall "move theese stones...". I ran around in that maze for some time before finding it :P

Also, I haven't checked the new version just installed it. In my game the ladders to the upper chapels (halfway into the tower) is just slightly askew - that is if there were moved just 30cm (eh, relative game measurement) the wood fitting for the ladder would meet stone. Now it is slightly outside on one side. Nothing major.

Thank you!

Works has restarted and progress is going well for Losing My Religion's new version.
The factions are now joinable, except for the Knigthly Orders who do not have headquarters. So if you want to join the Knights, you have to visit the Order of the Hour or the Kynaran Order.
The new factions come with a bit of new dialogue as well. But like mentioned, no quests.

If you guys plan to join a faction, make sure you make a pilgrimage to the god you want to worship/fight for. There are skill requirements, too.

I'm still having issues with the statues in Bruma. They show fine, but they seem to reset their stance every 5 seconds or so. I'm trying to find what's causing that in the scripts. But at least the postmainquest statues show fine and at the right places.

Thanks for the issue povuholo! The issue is with the voices. Only the Imperial races have the Go To Jail/etc topics. I will create them for the other races. :)

I just checked in Bruma with the new 1.3v. The ladders are ok!
The statue of Mara is raising from it's berth... I think maybe it is because of the minor clipping of the feet? Maybe it will be different if I re-enter, never tried that.
The rest of the statues are solid now and not resetting.
Sorry about the ladders, they were askew before but are now in perfect unison with the rock.

Hey guys, I always follow these Daggerfall mod threads - good job on this btw - but I have been looking at the videos and screenshots and I have one very important question about the Temples of Dibella and Mara... I used to join one of these Temples or maybe both (as a Knight, I think, but it's been awhile) in Daggerfall for one main reason and I'm not seeing it in the screenshots so far... So I have to ask:
Spoiler
Where are the naked dancing women?!?

Yeah, that's right, I went there. B)
Anyway, I looked all over and I don't see them. I usually base my character's religion on whatever god has the most scantily clad dancing women, and since Oblivion doesn't have them by default, my Oblivion chars are usually Atheist/Agnostic (though he admires Sheogorath's taste in guards). So please, help save the soul of my poor godless characters and bring on the girls! :D

If I'm not mistaken, Dibella's worshippers who are naked are part of the Cult dedicated to the body and physical beauty. If you go to the House of Dibella in Anvil, you'll see two NPCs, a man and a woman, with very light clothing. The male, named Caudus Liore, is actually naked under his chain shirt and pants.
Both offer Erotic Instruction. Ask them about it. :)

They do not dance, but hey at least they "share" Dibella's knowledge! ;)

By the way, Mara in Daggerfall does not have naked individuals (Or at least, not as many as Dibella.) I think they have one wearing a very light robe and wielding a staff, but that's it.

Thanks! :D

Cliffworms: Are there patches planned for Better Cities and DLC KnightsofTheNine? I have been wanting to play this (love your great mods, starting from Better Letters!), but haven't started the KOTN quests with this character...

EDIT: Also, another query - I have http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16815, which also includes Knights of Kynareth and a whole monastery based in the city of Sutch (which is from TES Lore, just not included in Oblivion by Beth). Should there be a compatibility patch for consistency between your knights and those of Sutch - BTW, those knights from Sutch look terrific in their blue armor...

Not sure about KotN, but the only Better Cities conflict I've found is in Bravil near the Lonely Suitor Lodge. It can be easily fixed through removing the Bravil worldspace record from Losing My Religion using TES4Edit. The problem is that the statue itself and the base that holds it are two different objects, so the statue is in the wrong place and not on its base. Deleting the Bravil worldspace record will simply restore the default statue of Mara and remove the new statue that's placed, so it will blend in seamlessly.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, wasn't sure if it was Dibella or Mara, but I definitely remembered those dancers at the temples. Not too interested in Caudus Liore, I'm afraid, but I may talk to the other one and see what she has to say. ;)

I'll definitely be watching this one and hoping for a patch or compatibility update for KOTN. On the other hand, I've already completed it with a retired char, and I can't say I'm a huge fan of that questline, so I probably wouldn't mind skipping it with my new char. The only problem is, I'm not sure it's safe to disable it from a game in progress..? I'm guessing, it probably would be a big deal since I think I've only talked to a couple of NPCs about the Chapel attack but haven't talked to the Prophet, though I think I have gone into the chapel once.

That being that, I guess the main issue remaining for me is Kvatch Rebuilt... I would really hate to remove it from my Load Order b/c I like that mod. Any chance of future compatibility with that or is the conflict too much to fix? Perhaps a workaround would be to add O-LMR after finishing the part of the KR quest dealing with the conflicting cave?

Glad to find this, I remeber the WIP from a few months ago and I had really hoped it would be released. Ive just watched the trailer and Im downloading as I speak just one comment, the deities seem a bit too....uh roman or classic, especially compared with how the daedra look. Dont get me wrong I think they look great Its just I was a bit taken aback that they seem to be all wearing flowing robes and saintyl poses. I guess you wanted to do a more classic look but I had figured that for Diabella you might go for a more uh heathen look with dancing wenches like in Daggerfall, or at least a Cult of Aphrodite kind of look with flowing waterfalls and cristaline marvel walls, or a more God of War look for the temple of Talos...Its just a comment and I hope I havent offended you in any way becasue I ever so gratefull for this anyway

Yes the patches are planned. :)
Thanks for letting me know about Sutch's Knights of Kynareth. I'll ask the author if we can make a file that puts these knights in the same faction as the Kynaran Order in Losing My Religion.
For the armor, I think we both havehttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5389

Oh that's how it's possible then. I'll try it out thanks Itachi! :)

If you have not done anything related to the KOTN questline, you can unload it from your game. But, you see, the only conflicts is in the Anvil chapel. When it is destroyed, you'll still see my worshippers walking around and the decoration will clip with my new ones. Other than that, I don't see another conflict.

I'll try to fix the Kvatch issue as well. Anyone knows how to work this issue? Kvatch Rebuilt adds a cave south-east of a fort placed by LMR. But both mods have changed the landscape in this area and so there is severe clipping of objects. Would it be more preferable to move Kvatch Rebuilt's cave, or move LMR's fort? (I'd personally think the cave, since I have less pieces and less waypoints to move)

No offense taken, no worries. It takes a LOT to make me offended. :D
The statues are the same as the ones in the Imperial City Arboreteum, only with a reflective golden touch to them. There are things I can't change because I don't have any modeling skills. If I could, I would have removed the catholic cathedrals and replaced them with a more unique building. :P

I do like the statues though. They look a lot like their Daggerfall's counterparts in terms of clothing and pose.

Regarding Dibella, Dibella has around 12 Cults, each dedicated to a specific beauty. But the main building is an House. So what you see in Anvil is several people from various Cults. You have the two erotic instructors from the physical beauty cult and there's alone one doing paintings.

The Order of Talos has statues of warriors and emperors, the School of Julianos has all these big bookshelves and desks where the people can read, etc. :P

Thanks!

My http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30084 are followers of Dibella, and once the Oblivion Crisis is over, they'll be getting back to their old jobs as acolytes of beauty, but at their new location in a chapel in the Colovian Highlands. If I want to provide compatibility with Oblivifall, what's going to be needed? I'm on the brink of a new release to add the second post-MQ quest to the mod, so it's a good time to consider compatibility issues.

You would need to make a patch that is dependant on the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31669
The ESM contains every info needed to get your characters in the House of Dibella faction and thus, getting the new dialogue related to it. It'll also add dialogue if the player joined the House of Dibella. :)

Or to make a copy of your esp file and make it dependant on Oblivifall Master File. But if you update your mod, you'd need to apply changes twice.

Hey, great mod.. the new chapels are all really beautiful, and as a daggerfall player I really appreciate the effort that is being put in the whole series of oblivifall.

Is there any chance the NPCs will be voiced in the future?

Whew, finally managed to get the statues in Bruma working. They don't constantly re-initiate their statue pose anymore, and the main-quest related statues show up correctly. At last! :D

Aside testing, I'll try to make compatibility patches and try my hand at making KOTN work with it.
Anyone up for beta testing the factions as a member? :)

Cliffworms, I really like Losing My Religion, you've done a great job :)

I'm wondering if you feel like it and have the time, would you be willing to make a patch for http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29523? The fort/castle (can't remember the name? maybe akatosh???) that's on the Gold Road by Kvatch, cuts off one of the roads added by http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29523.

Thanks

I'll see what I can do about the roads. I believe making landscapes compatible is very difficult. :P
(Yep, it's the fort to Akatosh)

Could you tell me which one, or even better, get me a screenshot?
Oh, and are you using the latest version? There were issues with bookshelves meshes not showing up and has been fixed in version 1.2 (the latest version is 1.3)
