Hello all,

I just bought The 5th anniversary edition of oblivion after looking for it for some time, i installed it on a separate partition on my hard disk, i also installed the second cd with the expansions and updated my directx, but when i try to launch it flashes the small black box in the left top corner and gives a black screen for a few seconds and crashes then giving this error:

AppName: oblivion.exe AppVer: 1.2.0.416 ModName: oblivion.exe
ModVer: 1.2.0.416 Offset: 0018dc7c

I've tried un-installing my codec packs but it doesn't help.

System specs:

windows xp MS SP3
Intel core 2 CPU 6300(1,68GHZ) (running D.A II w/o problems)
2GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Geforce 7950GT

Any help is appreciated, i really want to play the game

Are you running the launcher first? It needs to create the INI file from within the launcher before the game will run.

problem fixed ty, autorun wasn't working so i just started it trough the short cut but i had to start the launcher from the disk first
