Hi,

I have a problem with my Oblivion GOTY (steam) that i'd like resolved really quickly.

The game was working fine on thursday. And now, on saturday, when i tried to start it again it just simply crashed right after the first loading screen you see in game. The one before you click load game and stuff.
The thing is, this happened once before. The exact same thing. It crashed at the same place and all. And my suspicion is that it has something to do with steam's offline mode. You see, the first time, i was only able to play offline because my internet was down. On friday i wanted to play away from home and away from internet and steam's offline mode wouldn't even launch.
So now i'm stuck with the same problem as before and no solution on the horizon.

Oh and yea, for the problem to fix itself the first time, i had to completely delete steam and thus all my games. And that's not an option again.

All i want now is to be able to start the game and play it.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Problem averted, lock it, delete it, do whatever...
