Hello,

I just reinstalled Oblivion after not playing for a few months. The game crashes on startup for no apparent reason. Yes, have deleted my Oblivion folder in My Games and no, I am not running any mods at all.

When I launch the game (steam version) the screen turns black then crashes to desktop saying "Oblivion has stopped working".

Not sure what the issue is. Any help is appreciated.

Post a DXDiag of your system. The first place to start looking for a solution is to see what kind of equipment is in your computer.
