I played Oblivion Elder Scrolls 2 or 3 years ago when I first got an Xbox 360, and this game blew me away. I remember when I first got the game, and was leveling through the starting jail / dungeon and a giant rat jumped out of a tunnel to attack me. I have never jumped out of my seat while playing a video game until then. I swear I have never got a thrill out of any other video games like I did all the nights staying up, playing Oblivion Elder Scrolls in my living room. Seriously, there are no other games like it! Graphics, game play, quest lines (probably the thing I found to be most enjoyable + the lore of the game), NPC interaction, etc. are all superb. I tried to play other games after playing through Oblivion 2-3 times and nothing comes close to this game. Some games include Diablo 1-2, World of Warcraft, Gears of War, God of war 3, call of duty MW, Demon Souls and the list goes on. All of the top games today are pretty pathetic in comparison.

Anyways, when I think of a good video game this is always the first one that comes to mind. I hope Oblivion Elder Scrolls or the expansion for it is not the last Oblivion games to be released by Bethesda. I would pay 4 times the amount of a regular video for a new Oblivion. Anyways, I’m a big fan as most of you can probably tell by now.

Congrats Bethesda on making such an extraordinary game.

It’s pretty obvious, seeing how they only made one Oblivion; it refers to elder scrolls IV. If you haven’t figured that out yet then I feel bad for your inability to comprehend. Dur dee durrrrr!@#$

BTW: I made a post in Marrowind, thinking I was posting here by mistake. If you took the time to read my “one post” I made in that section then you would understand and not act like a total idiot.
Anyways the only reason I created this account was to tell the people about how great of a game this is. If you don’t think so then maybe you should stop trolling these forums and find another game to play. So, don’t worry about me posting on here again, because it was a onetime thing.

I feel obligated to tell you that you would be doing yourself a favor if you played Morrowind.

I agree. I love both Morrowind and Oblivion(Daggerfall, and, to a lesser degree, Arena can be fun too).

I also agree. Morrowind is the standard to which I hold all other games.

Some of the best series of all time.

I decided to give Oblivion another try a couple of weeks ago. I got bored and gave up after travelling from the Imperial City, to Chorrol, and back, and finding absolutely nothing to do except watch grass sway.

Decided to give it ANOTHER try last night, but it crashed in the chargen. One of these days, I'll give it a fair second try and finish the mages guild questline... maybe.

I agree, it is like this on most online forums, so I don't really expect to much positive or constructive feedback. But if people monitor these forums at Bethesda then good. I just really wanted to show my appreciation for the game and let everyone else know how much I enjoyed playing it. I still want to play shivering Isles. Its only available on the PC though, so I might have to get the game for my PC. Not real sure why they never released the expansion for the Xbox 360 or PS3 seeing how those system allow for plenty of download-able content, patches and upgrades.

Shivering Isles was released for consoles. I have Shivering Isles for my PS3 version.

That must be something new they did for the ps3 release, because I remember they didn't offer it for xbox 360 when I had the game. Again that was a few years back so I might have to check into that. Thanks

*cough* I just bought fallout 3 today too for my ps3. I haven't read much about it, but since its made by Bethesda I'm sure it will be a great game.

If you want Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, you'd have to get the Game of the Year edition on the PS3. I'm reasonably sure you can't download them from PSN.
