Oblivion exit question

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 6:34 pm

When i choose to exit oblivion, normally it works fine and exits the game. But sometimes when i exit it then freezes for a minute then quits and says oblivion has stopped working, then the option to close program, sometimes i have to go into task manager to get the mouse to work. It doesn't effect my saves at all but a bit annoying sometimes so does anyone know why this happens or a way to fix it? im not sure if its mods causing the problem or not.

Make sure you have OBSE (v18) installed first. You probably do, but just checking. ;)

And yes, create the folder if necessary. And future OBSE DLLs always go there.

As for "src", you will (chances are) never need that, wherever it comes from, now or ever.

edit: Oh, and *always* use the obse_loader.exe executable instead of Oblivion.exe or OblivionLauncher.exe .

Jackstarr lost his voice? - QUICK! some call a doctor! :)

I am not on my machine at home right now but it does not need any source (src) files, you obviously have not used these before so yes you do need the plugins folder to drop it in

I cant access tesnexus descriptions on this machine either (java restricted) and its been so long since I installed it... does it have a readme/description?

Hrm. Can't recall anything other than the dll and the src folder...

I'll have to check - unless you can name that stuff for me?

Ah, gotcha. Yep, just the dll, and you're good to go. But *do* use the obse_loader, as I know I posted above. But... it's important. :) So, sorry for repeating myself.

Heh, just a temporary blip while I rushed to answer the phone to do some work for a change...

You can just ignore the source files - just pop the fastexit2.dll into the OBSE\Plugins folder that should already be in your Oblivion\Data folder.
