Oblivion get old.

I hate to say this... But... I'm getting tired of Oblivion.
D:
I know everything that's going to happen and places, it just doesn't give me a rush of excitement anymore.

To be honest, this goes for me too I′m afraid. But I could sense it coming, it always happens when I′m too familiar with a game. It doesn′t mean however that the game isn′t good anymore. It just means that I know too much to enjoy it like I did in the beginning.
I′m on PC, but mods can′t save me. Unless they make me forget about how the game works and everything else in it

Play morrowind on the PC if you can. I got tired of oblivion in 1 month or so, but it took nearly 1 year to make me tired of morrowind (and on the console, with no mods!). Why do you think everybody says morrowind is much better than oblivion? I got back to morrowind and I'm enjoying much more than I enjoyed oblivion. Even with mods, oblivion gets too boring in no time (atleast it did for me). Morrowind on the other hand is a completely different game

It happens with every game. Eventually there is a moment when you lose interest because you have already seen and done everything.

If you can't add mods to the game (you're on console), then your best bet is to play another game till Skyrim is released.

Oblivion never gets old for me as I don't know what Items are going to be spawned in a particular dungeon for all we know the Bandit Boss in Rockmilk Cave could have an enchanted glass armor that I've been searching for.

Because I play "dead-is dead" style, I can identify with the OP's tedium at replaying protions of the game over and over. I get around this by using the "character reincarnated" theory and that the character has learned from mistakes in a past life. Therefore the challenge becomes how to do the same thing better this time. The world of Oblivion is so huge that I can always find locations, situations, and items that i have never seen before. I am on a PC, so mods definitely help with replayability.

Whenever I get bored of oblivion, I put it down for a few months, and then always end up coming back and redoing everything. It never gets old when I use that method. Another way I've rekindled my interest in the past is going back to morrowind. That always gets me in the TES mood :P

I took a brief break from Oblivion a while back to play FO3 for a bit. Then I went back to Oblivion with a new appreciation for the green fields of Nirn.

I played for about 300 hours through various characters and it got borderline old. I have it for pc and xbox. I did some mods and it was fun. I took a year off of playing and picked up the game again for xbox and put another 20 hours into and the excitement is back. I did most of the quests the first time around but I forgot how some of them went and even found a few I never did. I would suggest taking a break or simply just wait for Skyrim.

I first bought the game May 2010. Between then and about early September, I played the heck out of it
Limdraiel 169 hours (Level 8 female bosmer sociopath assassin; figured out about the leveling problem)
Talmus 60 hours (Level 2 male Altmer pure mage; helped me figure out more mods that I needed to really get into it)
Alexander 79 hours (Level 7 Breton battlemage type guy; got good with the mixed magic-sword fighting style)
Scipio Africanus 92 hours (Level 9 Imperial Paladin type guy; checked out Knights of the Nine with him, but didn't finish it)
Loire 101 hours (Level 15 female Breton battle-mage type; never got killed; the character I progressed farthest with [Got in to Arcane U] but
it just got tedious being so powerful)

Just in the past month or so I've made a return to the game: installed OOO and MMM, etc.
Shalia 33 hours (Level 3 Dunmer evil witch, got killed one way or another
Lars 2 hours (Level 1 Nord guy; got killed . . . damn OOO + MMM is LETHAL!)
Liora Sidrith 21 hours (cannot even remember what she was; got killed though)
Ulf 10 hours (Level 2 Nord warrior guy got killed by a pack of Wild Guars)
Dierdre 27 hours (Level 4 Redguard thief; got killed . . .)
Jack Drinigal my curent character 8 hours (Level 2 Redguard thief; hasn't died yet)

As mentioned there is still Morrowind and of course there is always Daggerfall, which I don't believe anyone has ever been able to see everything and do everything in. It's just too big. I'm not sure where you can get it now but if you can find it, I would definitely recommend getting it! You don't even need a strong rig, I play it on my laptop fine!

You can get it http://theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN, ready to play on modern operating systems. I have Windows 7 64-bit, and it runs fine with no fuss.

Well if u play in the computer you can also try mods to make the game better, if u play on the ps3 or xbox360... well u can do experiences, like... hmm i dunno, making NPCs as ur character... Making Adoring Fan, Lucien Lachance or other NPC in the Character Creation.
