Oh Oblivion how I have missed you...

I haven't played Oblivion since 2010. So today I decided to redownload it from my Steam library. I added a few texture packs such as Qarls, and few other environment mods. Just to bring it up to speed.

I had been plyaing Skyrim since launch, and I must say...I forgot how much I missed Oblivion! Oblivion feels so much more "in depth" much more "full". The actions and choices I make actually effect the world around me.

Got high infamy? or your an assassin, the guards will call you a murdering piece of trash and threaten to kill you if you dare unsheathe your blade....

Got high fame? The guards and NPC's will look up to you as a hero, and will comment on the great things you have achieved....

I missed attributes too, now my character is more unique.....I don't have a character that feels the same as all others after level 20. I also like the fact that outside of some exploits I won't use, I can't just destroy everything in my path. Enemies can actually fight back and have a real chance of actually killing me.....I like this! I like it a lot!

Cyrodiil is just beautiful....and the soundtrack....my the soundtrack is just wonderful!

The loot is just awesome....I LOVE the fact to get good armor and weapons you have to find them...or take them from enemies you kill....and I actually like the fact you have to repair your weapons and gear from the wear of being used.

Please don't get me wrong, I am not bashing Skyrim...I like skyrim a lot too....it holds a special place in my heart, I just didn't realize how much I missed Oblivion....

That′s the beauty of playing other games and then coming back to your old favorites. You may see them in a new light and appreciate them more than the first time. You may even go so far as not being annoyed by things that annoyed you earlier :)

Happy gaming!
