Hey guys,

Ive been playing a lot of oblivion lately in anticipation for Skyrim and i have ridiculous microstutter as well as lag when walking through the wilderness. The Microstutter isnt that big of a problem but the lag when running through the wilderness is killing me. Usually (like 90%) of the time i get smooth 60fps but every now and then it drops to like 2 or 3 fps and will stay there for a few seconds before going back up. Honestly i cant think what would cause this.... I dont think it is hardware issue

Specs:

AMD Radeon HD 6970
I5 2500k @ stock 3.3ghz
8GB 1600 Ram
7200 rpm sata 2 hard disk

any idea what is causing this?



btw only mods that i am using is qarls texture pack 3 & a lod mod.
