[WIP] Oblivion Makeover

How would this compare in performance with QTP3 Redimized or Reduced?

It would probably be much more demanding than even QTP3 original. IIRC, most of those textures are 1024 X 1024, these are double that. So only those people with very high end video cards are going to be able to use them. Pity, they look awesome.

At least higher resolution does not require a stronger CPU...

Planning on a landscape overhaul release within the next two days. One thing I am wondering about though is Oblivion's use of Environment Mapping. I have a few ideas for mesh replacers that could use this technique but unfortunately no one has explained to me the use of them, or if Oblivion even supports them.

Dude, you are killing me. OMG! (I had to use it.) This is sweet!! The parts for my new build should be here in time for the weekend. It would be great to have it up and running by Sunday, and then to throw this on... I'll have to play Oblivion just to see how it looks on the 24" (moving up from 19") with all of the updated visual enhancements.

Edit: ^____^

It is not up, and AmpolX is working on getting this new project up instead of bothering to reupload the old work. There are some very old things on PES if you really want to see something. Search "ATP".

Yes, i found one file on PES, but i figure it should be more. Unless my memory is rusting, i would say i already downloaded a texture or two from AmpolX ...

You and I both, but AmpolX pulled his mods from TESNexus...

WOW the screenshots are amazing. So how much of a system killer will this be? I HAVE to have to use this when it comes out.

I use and enjoy the most of the ATP v2 stuff and look forward to this upcoming release. I'll prolly have to be somewhat picky on what I install, though all the screen-shots look great. Gonna try the cave interiors for sure! My avatar is in a cave now... first cave since my rebuild ...and I don't recall being this unimpressed with vanilla cave textures before. I think the demo shot in this thread spoiled me.

Nope, actually I've been working on other things. My attention from this has dwindled down to nothing more than updating what I already have achieved. Lack of certain texturing elements have left me stuck in a rut

Not really. QTP3 original also delivered most of its textures in 2048x2048 size, and it also set the parallax flags on a lot of meshes.
