[WIP] Oblivion Makeover

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:39 pm

Returning from the grave that is my harddrive, Oblivion Makeover is the facelift my ATP 2.0 could not be. Many things are different as well as new features being implemented with the addition of mesh replacers. Things go by...slow so it will be a while before I even begin to release stuff but if you would like to test out some stuff, please PM me and I will be happy to lend files over.

*Key Facts
- Some stuff to know about this project!

All textures are 2048x2048 high-resolution size (more vram consumption than ATP 2.0)
Some textures make use of displacement maps
Architecture and Dungeons will be covered in release
Expect a "more realistic touch" over a "fantasy touch" in appearance

Incredible.

How would this compare in performance with QTP3 Redimized or Reduced?

Great to see you working on major new projects. Your texture packs were real quality. One request - I desperately want to see reworked and retextured forts, both exteriors, walls, interiors and dungeons. If you have a few days or weeks free and can design better looking forts I will be forever in your debt. :celebration:

I like the cave textures as well. Though I'd darken up the alpha a bit as every cave will have that "wet' look now. Still, if that's the look you are aiming for than stick with your plan. :)

That's actually accurate to the few large caves I've been in. The rocks are often very smooth, shiny even though they're dry.

And man, it really is stunning. I've never really been a svcker for eye candy, but that's some tasty candy!

Please post screenshots without the vaseline filter.

Stupid posts like this have caused AmpolX to become frustrated with this community before. How about we just appreciate that he's back to creating the next big thing after QTP3 and stop posting these useless comments? This is what AmpolX's game looks like, and you can easily ignore it and instead focus on the high quality of the textures you see in those screenshots.
