====Oblivion Makeover====

- - - Description - - -

Retexturing all of Oblivion, Oblivion Makeover is the facelift that ATP2.0 could not deliver. With all textures at 2048x2048 or larger,
Oblivion pops out with shocking high defination. Such power comes with a price to people with weak computers. Have at least 512mb or more
of Vram available.

2. Compatability
3. Known issues/bugs
4. Credits
5. License Agreement
==Install Info.==

All textures should be installed to...
"..data/textures/landscape..."

Just follow the promo picture included

==Compatability==

Not compatable with other texture replacers. Make sure you always backup
your textures before installing mine.

==Known Issues/Bugs==

None that I know of yet although you may experience certain bright elements on a few textures when using
HDR. This is just related to normal map specular lighting.

==Credits==

All textures were selected from CGtextures.com
CrazyBump for Normals
Bethesda Softworks for making Oblivion
Tomlong75210 for providing Encouragement

This is just part one of the landscape release. More will come in time but for now, I hope you enjoy :)

Note to downloaders:

Part one includes just landscape textures to replace Roads and Cobblestones, all sand and beach textures, and replaces the gold coast ground textures.

If my computer wasn't misbehaving, I'd so download this. I'm planning on getting a better video card, though; when I do, this is definitely going in.

Thank you so much, AmpolX!

Just tried these out and my ATI 4850 512mb card ran them perfectly. Stunning texture work, the roads and Gold Coast look amazing now.

AAAAAHHHH!! Wooohooooo! Thank you so much! I cannot wait to try these (except I have to restart my computer before I can play.) Dude! I do not even know what to say. I just hope my internet does not go whimsical on me again this morning, not until your mod has finished downloading anyway.

^____^

Happy gaming!

I just read the compatability section. So that means I can't use it with Quarl's texture pack 3? Can I use this along with your ATP2.0 or does this cover the same stuff as that?

I'll have to check this out when I get home.

They're both texture packs that cover the same thing, so you'll have to choose which one gets priority. I would personally install QTP3R first, then install this on top of that so that QTP3R covers any textures not covered by this while it is still WIP.

I am doing this as well.

That's a good idea since I'm not sure of everything that QTP3R does.

I just walked out of the Three Brothers store in the Market District and had to pick my jaw up off of the floor. WOW what an awesome job. I can't wait till the cave textures come out. Those re the ones I've been most anxious to see in my game. Only place I have a minor issue is with Unique Landscapes Lost Coast. The tiles don't look random like with the roads. I have to give this mod an A+ though great job so far. Can't wait for the rest.

I hope you keep going with this. I just downloaded part 2 and was going through it - great stuff.

having collected your past releases I see much variation in the versions for certain (actually many) textures + normal maps.

I'm assuming mixing and matching is not recommended? Certain parts are not (yet) included in the make over such as jmice.dds - for ice and I liked it a lot.
I may use some BAIN trickery to get the old and new to jive together. If the new has normal maps then having the new install after the old then the newer versions will overwrite all the old plus give normals and what is not overwritten will remain. ... Yeah that should work.

Also do you plan to branch off away from landscapes and nature?

thanks much

Only reason I am releasing this in "parts" is because of File Size. 2048x2048 textures and normals really add up and fast. Plus it helps me on my end. Im always changing things and instead of having to release updates, I'll just release the next part once I like the feel. Everything is done per say landscape but one file of that added out to 1.4 gb. I will do a few architecture replacers and release those separetly but im not going to cover a lot. Oblivion Architecture uses a lot of funky, weird skinned textures where if the replacer isn't exactly perfect, it can look rather odd (examples are Leyawiin's lowerclass windowwall textures.) Of course i'll release my clutter updates once I finish those and maybe do a creature release again.

LOVE the snow textures and the textures you used for the dirt at the bottom of the mountains. It looks a lot better then that boring grey.

Ehh...I see no point in continuing this project. Motovation lost, trolls on Nexus commenting to "stay away from these textures", etc etc. Project disbanned and thread will be locked accordingly
