Update OP... Done. Good idea. I've linked to acroynms page. But that page could use some added links to mod downloads. :snooze:

Done.

Azumi is foreigner.
She is a Shinobi Ninja sent to save the emperor. She failed in that but managed to save the Empire (by killing Emperor's last descendant.)
She's greedy, does not suffers from regrets or consciousness and is sometimes naughty.
This time she used cheat mods to skip MQ and started completing mod-added quests. And looting. :)

On my current play through, I completed all of the Shivering Isles quests before starting any of Midas Magic. I'd played through Midas Magic before, and so had been storing all sorts of clutter in the hopes of making Midas spells with them later.

My version of Midas Magic is the latest (.980a), but I've had many of the earlier versions installed. I've done most of the quests in earlier play throughs.

So, there I was, my inventory groaning under the weight of the junk I was carrying. After I got the rest of the ingredients and clutter off of my companions I couldn't move. I had the Midas Spells for Dummies and Aurum Incantatum, and thus formulas for most of the spells I wanted. It just seemed like a real pain trying to flip through the books and sort through my inventory for a major session of grinding out Aurum Residues (sort of intstant-spell learning pills, used in the mod to teach your character the spells). I figured there had to be an easier way.

So I unloaded my entire inventory into the Aurum Reactor. All of my ingredients, my gold nuggets, my clutter, Daedric Artifacts, everything I vaguely remembered could be used to make Midas spells. All of it. I saved the game, and figured I'd probably get a stack of Aurum Residues. Either that, or nothing would happen. I hit the Aurum Reactor with a spell to start the process.

Spoiler
What I got was a single "Cheater's Residue". Eating it brought up a snarky cheaters menu, allowing me to get all of the Midas Spells at once. I'd heard of this cheat, but I'd never used it. I thought it had been taken out. I don't even know which specific ingredients I threw in that created it, but there it was; all the Midas spells, in their Cheese Atronauch, Beholden Glory!

Some of the spells don't quite work, others have names that I'm pretty sure got changed in later version (Summon Beholden vs Summon Beholder), still others seem to be old versions, but still, that's a lot of cool Midas-y Goodness.

So I taught a bunch of them to Viconia, who has (in her OBSE version) the ability to learn any spell you have selected. Now my adventures are punctuated by random rains of boulders, cyclones, and Dwemer robot rampages. It makes the game world a much more interesting place. :)

I'm playing with Thieves Arsenal (the version that is compatible with Real Lights/Extinguish the Lights and Darker Dungeons/Let there be Darkness) and Duke Patrick's Nosferatu Vampires, amongst lots of other mods.
My first job in TA was to enter a fort, steal an item without killing anything (the mod is strongly influenced by the Thief game) and preferrably without even being detected (Thief - Lytha style).
Scouting the perimeter I noticed some coffins and blood drained corpses; a telltale sign of vampires. I'm not sure how vanilla vampires are, but the Nosferatu ones are almost psychic and impossible to get close to without being detected, no matter how high your Stealth skill is.
So I went in, and sure enough - vampires blocking both paths. So I *try* to sneak past a lone one, having over 100 Stealth thanks to items and about 20 Chameleon, but I'm spotted. So I run out and put a distance to the fort and hide, but to no avail, so it ends up with a fight and after losing both my best melee weapons and having to resort to using my best scrolls against the vampire that regenarates faster than a troll in heat, I finally kill the svcker.
Since this was at night, and Nosferatu vampires actually take damage from sunlight, it was safe for the vampire to follow me.
Digression: it's rather depressing to see the Downloads to Viewing ratio for Nosferatu on Nexus. 16,000 Viewings, but only 2000 downloads is a very bad ratio, and a big pity, since Nosferatu is IMO the only mod (that I know of) that treats NPC vampires properly. I guess all the views are from players looking for yet another mod that gives the player super power if a vampire...

Anyway, I decided to wait untill the morning to enter the fort again, so I back tracked to a camp where I had seen a bedroll. There was only one bandit there at the time who got shred to pices by a Pahmar. When I went back two of his colleagues had returned to camp and under cover of darkness, and them using torches (courtesy of the excellent Exterior Actors Have Torches mod) there was no problem sniping them.
So I entered the camp, picked up one of the bedrolls and headed back to the fort, up the stairs to the top and jumped over the collapsed roof to the other side where it should be safe to sleep.
But when I woke up the next morning there was an orc bandit next to me on the bedroll!
The only possible cause I can think of is that the orc bandit had a sleep AI Package and the game just looks for the nearest one without checking if its already in use.
And the orc probably thought the fur (my character is a Khaijt) was a blanket...

:swear: man! when i first seen the topic title i thought "wow! this is gonna be AWSOME, somebody made a mod, where you act out a story or something? like you can be an on-stage actor in Cyrodiil!? FREAKIN AWSOME!"... but its just this lol. no offense about the "its just" its a cool idea n stuff, i just thought it was something completely different lol. but now ill think of a story that involved a mod, then edit this post ;)
ok, well the biggest thing i've done so far with OB is http://www.stephanewuttunee.net/tnr_home.html
so i start out as a Mazken, using the http://www.theelderscrolls.info/?go=dlfile&fileid=215 (it requires the core files, all that is is the ESP i guess, but i couldnt find a link sry), i've always liked the Mazken, since i seen them that is ;) but anyways, sofar i havent really noticed any changes in the game, so im doing everything as usual, im going through the tutorial thing in the first dungeon, and then i find a rat, the first rat you find, and theres like 2 of em, so i pull out my Akiviri Katana, figuring ill slice these monsters up real quick, when.. BAM! i lose about half my health, i spin my screen around real quick, didnt see ANYTHING other than that stupid rat, then BAM!, i get hit again, then i realize its that stupid rat!!.. well, i died that time, so i load my autosave right before the rats attack, and this time i just run at em, sword swinging, and luckily i only got hit once, and killed it. WHEW! man, whats up with those blasted uber rats!? well anyways, so i progress as usual, accept i dont let rats touch me anymore. la-de-da. oh look, a zombie! (still havent learned my leason yet...) well, this will be easy, ill just run up to him and slash him a couple of times, and it will all be good. WHACK! i die... again.. so i load, do most of that again, then get to the zombie... this time i outsmart him! i just run and lob fireballs! well, thats not the easiest thing to do when you have to wait for your magicka to recharge every 3 fireballs!!! so im running for my dear life! i come to the part where the first attack happened (avoiding saying anything in particuler, incase thats considered a spoiler, but its just before the first rats), well, hehe, im REALLY gonna outsmart him this time; i go up the stairs a little, jump on the wall in the middle of the stairs, then i jump up to the door where the baddies came from earlier (but theres no more of them, and i didnt fight them), so i just sit here for about 2 minutes, lobbing fireballs at him. FINNALY! he DIED!!! ahaha.. so i keep going... (the difficuilty slider is at defualt, directly in the middle!) so anyways, i find a goblin, but i've learned something about T.I.E... it makes you as weak as a rat! i loved it! an AWSOME challenge!... accept im being a coward about it and run up to my little ledge where the dumb goblin cant get me :P lob some more fireballs, well hes DIRECTLY below me now, and i cant see him, so i scoot to the edge, and jumped outa my skin, cause the goblin did that crazy little "jump up and slash at his throat" thing.. well, yeah... i died... EVENTUALY i learned just to sneak around, get one guy's attention, and waste him with ANYTHING i have, poisened arrows, even though i svck with the bow. the poisen does the actual damage anyways ;) so, 20 minutes later, and about 7 deaths later, i FINNALY get out of the dungeon! WOO! then i walk towards the imperial city, get on the road and start walking some more.. then i notice some crazy person standing there in here underwear.. O_o whu?! ok... so, i figure this is from another mod, i dont know if it was or wasnt, but i didnt think it was hostile.. till it ran towards me, pulled out a steel claymore and i started running... but yeah, the amazon was ALOT quicker than i was lol... sooo i respawn at my nearest save! lol... im loving and hating this new mod, i find the amazon again, but im too far for it to see me... well, im a greedy little moron, and a steel claymore would be nice at level 1... hmmmmm...... yeah.. well i cant beat that thing!.. next thing i do is look to my right, see an imperial guard on his horse, oh, such perfect timing... i lure the amazon to the guard, they fight.. im sittin back, watching these two giants battle... by giants i mean their probably like level 5 xD finnaly! somebody died!... and yes! it was the amazon!... welll.... like i said, im a gready little moron... so i pull out my bow, aim at the VERY close to dead guard, put some nice little poisen on it.. fling! and WOW! he actualy died, i didnt get a bounty either! wooo! ok, so now i loot everything, and im over-encumbered :( so i start dropping the stuff thats least valuable, and heavy. finnaly i can move! start heading towards the city again, and i see a guy buy the wall... well, i talk to him, and he lets me sell stuff! YAY!!! from there on out it was pretty normal, but in short: i loved TIE!!! i think theres a version for FCOM, im not sure tho.
PS: TIE also changes the NPCs faces. i didnt like em at first, but they grew on me :)

Yep. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15236 is a fantastic mod... I'm using it with my Paladin character, but am too scared to use it with my sneaky rogue! I still wish it worked better with Deadly Reflex, though... If I only knew how to create a patch that would prevent Deadly Reflex from applying decapitation animations to Vampires...

Speaking of vamps and my Pally, I was traveling around with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3027, and decided to explore a fort whose name I can't remember... Anyway, I left Ruined-tale outside the fort because I find companions extremely annoying especially indoors. I entered the fort, and easily dispatched several vampires near the entrance. My Paladin is a vampire/undead/daedra-slaying machine with his arsenal of spells from the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20652 mod and http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12466. Lesser vampires have no chance, even when beefed-up with Duke Patrick's mod.

I eventually encountered an Orcish Vampire Patriarch, who proved quite a challenge. I fought this guy for almost 20-minutes in a war of attrition. Even with Aura of Judgment, Astral of Judgment, Word of Judgment, and Aura of Sunlight spells and Samson the Longsword from the Sentient Weapon mod, I couldn't even scratch this Patriarch before his health would regenerate. So, I shamed myself and had to run!

Fortunately, it was day when I exited the fort with the Vampire in hot pursuit. He burst into flames as the sun singed his skin, but he was tough, and shrugged it off. As I was running out of Magicka and resigning myself to an imminent death, Ruined-Tale came to my rescue! Although Ruin usually gets creamed in fights, he held his own against this Vampire; his flame-enchanted sword mortally-wounding the Vampire after a long battle. The Vamp finally burst into flames to leave nothing but a charred skeleton behind.

I love when you realize that your character isn't as powerful as you think he is... I did see a named Vampire deeper in that fort, but dared not challenge him yet.

A Vampire Patriarch is definitely the most scary thing my character has encountered, before finding an orc in her bedroll. Getting a 6x critical with a poisoned ebony bolt from an ebony crossbow didn't even scratch him. Even Umbra is a weakling compared to that. When testing the crossbows I did make quite a dent in her health bar with a lesser crossbow.
The only thing that saved my hide was a gate that could only be controlled from my side.

Yeah! That patriarch's health didn't budge at all until Ruin and I were both fighting him... I thought he was maybe bugged, but no; he was simply regenerating at a high rate! That regeneration plus the extra health that MMM adds to most enemies, made him freakin' hard to kill.

Mods relevant: OOO, Race Balancing Project

I just had a hilarious experience with my level 5 Sea Elf stealth mage character. After killing most of the goblins in the Silver Tooth Cave, I came upon the boss area. I managed to kill the warlord by kiting and electrocuting him, before I tackled the Goblin Shaman. I sneak attacked it, only to discover that there where TWO shamans, and they where really powerful, taking away half of my life one shot. I ran like crazy out to the Jerall Mountains, with both of them hot in pursuit. One of them lost track of me and went back inside, but other persisted. I decided to head for Bruma to get help, as I didn't stand a chance against it. On the way I fell into a valley, only to discover a FROST TITAN in my way. In a matter of seconds I was vaporized by a simultaneous headbutt and lightning strike from the goblin (talk about overkill). After reloading and avoiding the Titan, and dying many times, I reached Bruma, only to discover that there was only 1 guard on duty! I eventually managed to kill the shaman by throwing spells at it while it mauled the poor city guard. I decided not to tackle the other shaman, instead sneaking past it to loot the boss chests. I love challenging powerful bosses. and then kiting across the country side dodging fireballs and lightning strikes. :toughninja:

I didn't know where to put this to, so I've chosen this somewhat fitting thread.
*puts thread necromancer robes away - thread isn't that old*

Lately I've thought (after finishing all HoMM 5 AddOns - had to take a break after my latest mod was finished) what's still fascinating about playing Oblivion. Well, looking back at the past > 3 years I came to the conclusion that for me it's most the very atmospheric, very immersive moments.

I've got a habit of reusing my characters as NPCs (e.g. about a third of the people you can meet in Integration are former characters of me). Now often when I meet one of them, I recall some very memorable moments. Like e.g. walking the "Mora Pathway" for the first time (I mean the road between Bruma and Sancre Tor through the Jerall Mountains, one of the very few regions in Vanilla that imho are of similar qualities like the Unique Landscapes), or exploring the Colovian Highlands (we were speaking of Unique Landscapes...), or my first visit to the Nascosto Isles - or just entering a remote Fort full of FCOM raider bosses illprepared.

These are impressions that stick, and become "part of the character", so to speak. Example given the Mora Pathway: It was in late 2006, my first character I've played OOO with, that had just got the "Blood of the Divine" quest. Instead of following the known roads I decided to explore the Jerall Mountains instead, looking for a shortcut. It was dark, it was snowing, as I spotted the starting point of a trail at the mountains' sides. Not only was the view breathtaking (even though it was snowing), also the atmosphere, with the old stairs along the way, bridges that look as if a wrong step could sent them flying downwards, and the rare feeling in Oblivion of being far away from any civilization. Didn't know about the Mora shrine nearby, back then ;).

Or with a completely different character, exploring the canyons and caves of the Colovian Highland, and as the day turned into dusk finding a small ruined town built into the cave, the view spanning from Cheydinhal to Kvatch and the river to Elsweyr, while the sky turned first red, then purple, then black. And it began to snow.

It's these atmospheric moments that make Oblivion great for me. Yes, they aren't exciting or funny, but... still, I wanted to share a few of them.

And, a bit related, I've got a question on my mind: Am I the only modder reusing "old" characters as NPCs in mods?

Most relevant mods: TIE, Darkness Eternal

This happened with my level 4 vampire mage. I chose Dracula mode with Darkness Eternal, which means I'm silenced from 6 am to 8 pm instead of recieving sun damage. I mostly spend my days trading and the nights traveling and exploring. This time I decided to travel from Cheydenhall to Bruma through the mountains. In hindsight a bad choice. The first part was relatively easy. A few wolfs and timber wolfs attacked, but I could pick them off one by one. The first bandit group that attacked me was a little more difficult. They could easily keep up with me after mauling an Imperial Guard, but I managed to get away from them by vampire jumping (a lesser power: fortifies acrobatics 300 points for 3 sec, enough for one jump) up a steep slope. After that I was a little more carefull, but I still had to hurry: it was getting late (or early?) and if I got stuck in the mountains without spells I would be in a load of trouble. When I was running I attrackted a pack of timber wolfs, so I kept running. But then I encountered my second bandit group of the night. They killed the wolfs in no time and every time I vampire jumped up a rock to escape them, their archer shot me off. I was almost out of potions when I saw a huge ogre in the woods (even more huge then the normal ones). I quickly lobbed a fireball at it and ran past. I stopped a little bit ahead to enjoy the screams of pain coming from the bandits as they tried to take on the monster and failed, but before it could shift it's attention to me I made my way to Bruma.

Help Me Mummy The Daedra Are Loose!

So I install mods using the fab BSA patcher only it works tooooo well, as in I havn't activated mods to play in the data files of the launcher, yet, at level 1 the world is crawling with mythic dawn agents, sometimes 10 to 20 in one group then I rode past 3 daedroth on the road quickly followed by 20 conjourers and about 30 dremora rode past 10 clanfear, all in mundas on the way to weye from the start ruin, anyways rode past several more clanfear a group of conjourers fighting a bigger group of dremora and herd of daedroth, and much more, every few yards in game some daedra or bad nastys wanting to end my butt.

Now, I am a bit of a ahem deathwish sort, so I pick up my companions ( cm partners marked essential ) Mal and Xaurax ( custom playable xiv lads ) and head to Kvatch and into the first gate, I arrive and there's like 50 scamps outside the gate and constantly respawning and I umm dunno how I managed it but with the partners and the guards help we rid them, then I go in with Mal and Xaurax ad get greeted with yep, you guessed it even more scamps and we're getting fireballed and I run and hide behind a boulder and mal and xaurax deal to them and onto into the main citadel, got the heaps of clannfear and scamps on the ground level and I run past with mal and xaurax keeping up behind me and I encounter the valkynaz at the first floor and from there on it was a game of hide and run and hide and run I did up and down the citadel and behind the blood and magica fauntains and all the while mal and xaurax my buddys getting into battle and getting unconcious and don't you just love the cm partners? Cause they get knocked back and fly right back at you - must be a warping thingy. Anyways it was great, I get squished by two big xivilai guys ( mal and Xaurax ) landing on my head while me is hiding and I actually made it up to the lords tower so close to the sigel stone, I open the door to go one in and god bless 'um Mal and Xaurax come too and we get greeted by three big frostys and as much as they tryed to get the frosty's attention I was outta magica and wounded rather bad and I died by a random thrown frost at myself.

It was awesome, I wish I had the fraps on to record it. it was the most interesting game I ever had. It took me a good three hours to make it to the sigel tower. so close yet so far....

Long story short, damm it's hard because of the sheer numbers I'm up against.

For those wanting to know what mods I'm running to get such awesome action,

It's Creature Intensity, Enhanced Daedric Invasion, Adrenalin Oblivion and all the Alive Waters and Dangerous Waters, last but not least The Random Encounters and Dremora females, oh and the Install this mod esp which changes spawns in mundas and oblivion and seems to be a level uncapper, or one of them is, was awesome action anyways and the most fun game of staying alive that I've played for a long long time.

Mind I don't recomend anyone without a good pc to try this as it would probly be for them instant CTD.

I had just arrived in anvil on a boat, all I had as far as military equipment was a pair of iron greaves, iron boots, fur gauntlets, and an iron longsword. I decided to get aquainted with the countryside and see what kind of plants and animals thrived in Cyrodiil. Aware that I knew nothing of the dangers of the country side I convinced a friendly, and attractive guard to accompany me for a walk near the city at the end of her shift. We walked up the hill toward an old ruin, as she told me about the forts scattered throughout the country side. Suddenly there was a hail of arrows, and before I could dodge out of the way, one plunged into my shoulder. I dived behind a rock outcropping, and she crouched behind some cover, and returned fire. She dispatched two of the 3 archers I could see, before the last shot an arrow that punctured her lung. She slowly crumpled to the ground, gagging for air in her final moments. I remembered a flame spell I had learned, and dashed from my outcropping to her cover as I threw a fireball at the archer. He burst into flame and was soon a smoldering corpse, his armor melted into his flesh. She was out of arrows, so I looked around the rock to see if there were any more enemies. I saw one more archer headed this way. Knowing that the protective barrier of the rock I was hiding behind would soon be compromised, I dashed back to the outcropping I had hid behind earlier. Unfortunately He saw me and released an arrow that sunk into my guts. By this time I was bleeding profusely. I climbed over the outcropping, knowing that I'd have to surprise him, if I wished to survive this day. Fortunately he had not looked up yet, and leaped from the top of the rock, and punched him so hard in the face, that I floored him. I took the opprotunity to impale him, and take some bandages from his equipment. After removing the arrows, and bandaging myself up, I took his bow, and arrows, and began to sneak around the backside of the fort. I had decided, that this menace must be dealt with, and if I didn't try, why would I expect anyone else to. I climbed up the back of the fort, and readied my bow. I aimed for a Bandit Hedge Wizard, and let loose. My arrow punctured his lung, but I lost control of my bow, and fell from the back of the fort. Fortunately I caught myself, but only after the whole base was alerted. I began sniping bandits, and wizards, whilst dodging arrows, and hiding behind brick piles on the back wall from lightning bolts. Finally I had one arrow left, and there was but one bandit left. A Kahjiit with a warhammer. She had hid out of sight from the top of the back wall. So I climbed, down, and jumped to a support pillar, that no longer supported anything. I drew my bow, and was about to let loose, when to my surprise, she lobbed a fireball at me, I dodged, but my arrow missed by several yards, and I barely caught myself on another support pillar rather than falling to my doom. I climbed to an angle where I could hold on with one hand, and still see the bandit. Her warhammer was ready, and was walking toward me, probably hoping to knock me to the ground with another fireball. I leapt from the wall straight at her, and as she paused in surprise, I threw a fireball at her. It knocked her back as I drew my sword, but she successfully shook off the flame and was about to lift her warhammer to crush my skull. When I stabbed her in the guts, and as she bent over, I decapitated her, spraying blood all over the ground, her, and myself. So I piled all the bandits together, and after removing any valuables I burnt them in a tremendous bonfire, collecting a large portion of cremation ash, which is a highly sought after ingredient. I then carried the guard back to Anvil, and helped her comrades to cremate her body.

It was actually pretty intense.

Time to bump this topic again. Definitely some of the best stories in the game here!

I do agree with bg2408 -- some of the best moments are those scenic/vista moment. I've got some of those as screenshots and use them as desktop backgrounds. Not action packed, but great atmosphere. Cosmia striding across the bridge to the university. Another char standing over the corpse of the gatekeeper; etc. Another char high in the mountains. Great stuff.

bg2408: Only modder to use reuse former chars as NPCs? Well I know that a number of players do that -- it's a popular use of Bash's face import/export features. However, I'm the only modder who allows players to re-use NPCs as playable chars. :D

Orcs in Beds: I ran into that when I first created my Summon Bed mod. I was testing it in the fields just a little west of Skingrad, and would often wake up to find a bandit sleeping next to me. Who would promptly awake and attack -- but not before I put a an arrow or two through his chest! Made for a great bandit trap in certain areas.

Heh, I've found out that in Cyrodiil a Bedroll is the ultimate chick magnet. After the incident with the Orc, my character rarely sleeps rough again, but last night she decided to spend the night t a Sylvan Elves Camp at Strid River south of Kvatch. When she woke up, she once again had company, but this time it was not an ugly, smelly orc but a delicate little Wood Elf named Alawen.
Now Alawen is supposed to sleep at Troll Candle Camp (no idea where that is), so how did she end up in my bedroll? And why the precense of the *player* character in the bed or bedroll disregarded? Would have been *much* cooler if, in the case of enemy characters, that they would attack you in your sleep. Adds a further danger to camping out.

and take some bandages from his equipment.

Bandages? I want bandages! Which mod have you bandages? Also, was that story slightly exaggerated, or was that exactly how it was in game? Either way, I really wish I had Duke's mods now... :(

Anyway, enough hijacking for me, I've a story of my own to tell.

Mods used:
WAC (I can't provide the link for this one, seeing as how you need to join a forum to get it. Just type in: "Waalx Realswords Workshop" without the quotes in Google and you should find it), Knights of the Nine.

So after tiring of listening to the prophet ramble on for a couple of hours about how I should be the one to save the world, I exited Anvil and looked at my new map to find the closest wayshrine. The map pointed to Mara's, so I decided that would be where I would go. As I continued walking through Anvil's golden fields, I spotted Lord Drad's estate, and walking around, nibbling grass was a black shire horse. After making sure he wasn't owned by anyone, I took him and rode on...

While I was riding through the roads, I spotted a couple hyenas in the horizon. Their faces slowly turned to watch with beady eyes the large animal quickly galloping towards their midsts. After a few seconds of silent consideration, they decided my new horse and I would be their next meal. They all attacked at once, but I dismounted before they were upon me. They were tougher than wolves, and in numbers, I became gravely wounded, but I managed to slay them and take their pelts as a bloody prize. I had only seconds to tend to my wounds before another unit of the animals attacked, though I dispatched these without much trouble.

Riding on towards the wayshrine, I passed a herd of Zebra, causally nibbling grass. I stopped to watch them for a time, before they suddenly dispersed. I looked up to try to find the cause of the racket and was face to face with a sabre-tooth tiger, as big and half as my large shire horse. I quickly turned around, and ran for the hills! The tifer was fast though, faster than I had expected. It easily matched my horse's speed, pound for pound. It quickly pounced, time after time, striking contact with my horse's rump. Slowly but surely, my horse would fall soon, and then I would be next..

Through my fear, I was completely off the trail towards Mara's wayshrine, and had seen a plethora of other animals. A herd of blue wildebeests saw me, and all but the bull ran for their lives. The bull had other plans in mind, he would chase me to the ends of Oblivion for my intrusion. So imagine, I was chased by a tiger, and a wildebeest! Riding for my life, I was, not knowing where I was going. After minutes of riding to what seemed like hours to me, I spotted something... I couldn't believe it; it was a wayshrine!

I quickly dismounted and ran for the shrine, but I spotted the White lion that was prowling next to me. I knew I would be dead within seconds, as the other two hunters chased in. Before they managed to lay a finger on me, however, the white lioness let out a menacing growl and charged them both. Fang and claw kissed hide, as the lioness was desperately outmatched by the two bigger hunters. I took out my bow, and aimed for the lioness before I realized something: she was helping me, not trying to have me for dinner! I quickly switched my aim towards the nearly dead tiger and shot. Whether the arrow did much damage or not, I don't know, but what I do know is that both my assaultants were dead within a minute.

Unfortunately, my savior was severely wounded. I healed her as much as I could before praying to Mara and thanking her for sending this ardent defender to save me, before I thanked the lioness and left her a piece of Venison to eat. I rode off into the setting sun, my pack full of pelts and meat, but never forgetting the kindness that animal gave me.

Cool... But don't forget the "No Fanfic!" rule. If it starts sounding like something your would write for a creative writing class, you've probably crossed to far into fiction. It really should read more like someone watching over your shoulder as you play. Some internal life will creep into most naratives, but if you start talking about internal thoughts of your companions, enemies and critters, then you're slipping down the fanfic slope.

Recapping rules, etc. from first post...
The point of this topic is tell some cool stories -- and promote the mods that made it cool. This is pretty much meant to be action experience stories, not fan faction about your characters. What I would really like to get across is something like "I had a particularly cool and surprising experience with this mod (or better, this set of mods), here's what it was like.

Again, no fan fiction, no internal life of your character!!! I.e. NOT something like "Ayesha wiped sweat off her dusky brow, then sniffed and looked around the gritty landscape of West Weald. Her thoughts flashed back to..." Uh uh.

Topic Rules/Requests/Notes:
* No Fan Fiction! Some state of mind is going to come into most stories, but it definitely should be more like watching an action movie then reading a book. (Nothing against fanfic, I would just like this topic to focus mostly on action, rather then on something that's more like a book.)
* Please post links to mods that you describe. This topic provides really nice adverts for mods.
* Try to keep thread pvssyr down. Some is good, but too much drowns out the stories.
* Avoid Spoilers! Not much good telling what an awesome mod something is and then blowing the big surprise at the end! Use spoiler tags if need be. Like
Spoiler
so
. BB code for spoilers is the word "spoiler" in [] and [/] as usual. You can get them from "Insert Special Item" in full editor.

Notes:
* Lost in Acronyms? WTF is AEVWD? See http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes4Mod:Acronyms
* Mod Links: If you're using Bain (part of Wrye Bash), and the mod package was downloaded from Tesnexus, you can usually get the source page by right clicking on mod package in Bain and selecting "Open at TesNexus". (Command works by trying to read part of package name as a mod id number.)

Good Stories: There's a lot of good gameplay that just doesn't make a good story. Most good stories have some sort of catch or surprise. Often it's some http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?s=&showtopic=961013&view=findpost&p=13899552, but sometimes it just an http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?s=&showtopic=961013&view=findpost&p=13950153moment. So... Use your best judgment -- if it happened last week and you're still remembering it vividly, it's probably a good story. :)

I was about to attacks some bandits to finish up my quest to get the final piece for the Orrey. As a crept up behind a mountain I notice something to the left of me... I look over to see two trolls running my way. I quickly took off all my armor and ran naked as fast as I could to find some help because I didn't have a fire enchanted sword :(. The trolls kept up and eventually I came to a wayshrine were someone was praying. Lucky for me he was a magic user, and so I got behind him and let him deal with the trolls. As luck would have it I started to walk away and I ran right into a Daedra patrol... The trolls killed the priest before I could get away and now I am running for my life with 3 daedra and the 2 trolls still behind me. I got to the edge of the great forest and crossed two Guar who didn't attack me, and started to attack the enemy. I also came upon an NPC who was near a cave. The 2 guars and the NPC tried their best but they too failed and all died.

I used them as a smokescreen though to sneak away through a river. Then I went back and showed those bandits whose boss!

Kjetto entered the Imperial City at Talos Plaza and the first thing she see is a little mudcarb named Rudi (BG's Paper Chase). So she follows him to see what he's up, when her stomach rumbles (Real Hunger). Suddenly Kjetto felt like some Crab Meat, but something told her this was no ordinary mudbrab and it would have been a shame to eat a protected species. So settling for some boar meat instead, she follows Rudi and watched in astonishment as he enters a guard tower. Several remarkable cell transitions later he heads back to The Waterfront and Kjetto loses interest.
Kjetto wished she knew who had trained Rudi. The osmosis through doors could be very useful in her line of work...

C'mon guys, more stories!

Some Wow moments from my own mods:

1. Seeing my first Giant Mudcrab, and it was dead.... I wondered what the hell killed it... [FCOM]

2. Running around chasing a burning corpse, and actually talking to it before it died (it appears that it was an NPC at some point)! [No idea where this came from]

3. All those lovely different fishies swimming around in the water [MMM Waterlife]

4. Incinerating a zombie as it was getting up to attack me again [FCOM, CampfireBehaviour]

5. Roleplaying a werewolf who transforms only on the nine days around the full moon, and is dog tired the next morning cos he didnt get enough sleep [Curse of Hircine, HTS_getwet]

6. Watching a weird Mazken dancing around in the Tiber Septim hotel [Race Balancing Project, Integration: The Stranded Light]

7. Fighting that Frost Titan near Bruma (others have mentioned) and luring him to the Bruma gate to get help from the guards [FCOM]

8. Hoarfrost Castle is such an epic mod, purging a castle of undead and finding out all its secrets [Hoarfrost Castle]

Anyways that's just off the top of my head.
