Oblivion Modder interviews for Bethblog

Post » Sat May 22, 2010 4:58 pm

Thanks for the nomination, Deepfreeze.

> In my day every modder had to know his way around a hex editor

I started out doing MACRO-32 Assembly code in 1986. I hear ya! God, I miss those days.

Looks like I need to work on my public image! Can anyone recommend a good PR person? :P

WhoGuru does a great job with your PR already. You sure you need another? :)

And I'd certainly second (or 3rd by now?) seeing you get an interview too.

Thanks Arthmoor, and she certainly does at that. Maybe just someone to cover her days off?

 Um...as flattered as I am, and believe me I am, stunned even! :lmao: TES Alliance and RST are both Darkrder's babies. I just help out. The site was and is his brainchild, it's success solely due to him and Reclaiming Sancre Tor an epic mod that he has worked on mostly alone for the last year or two, with a little help here and there. I'm just honored to have been admitted into RST's inner sanctum, as it were, to help out here at the end.

Darkrder is the one you should be nominating. :foodndrink: I certainly don't want credit for the hard work of someone else. Thanks for thinking of me though! :embarrass:

I second this! This guy is a gentleman and a very talented modder! I agree that the TES Alliance is a great addition to the modding community and RST will indeed be epic!

Companion mods have made Oblivion just as enjoyable, for some players, as any of the community proclaimed epic mods. I'd like to see some companion modders interviewed. I nominate Simyaz and Sulteric Drums.

I second that. No game of Oblivon is complete without Viconia, Stoker Wolff, Ruined-Tail or Cleon. :)

Dude, how many times are you going to vote for the same folks? :lmao:

I'm sure those have been counted, how about saving space for some new votes, matey!

I think a companion interview between Deepfreeze, Resident Evil, (and moi) would be a good thing considering the abandonment of companions and romance by game producers and the fact that only the active modding community provides such things.

Hey GStaff! Aloha! :poke: Any news on the next Interview? When? Who? This month or next? I am a curious monkey and you've not graced us with an update since mid-May!

It's been awhile (what a busy summer!), but I just posted a new interview with CptJoker on the blog.

Wohoo!
Thank you Gstaff.
That was a most interesting read indeed. :D

It's always nice to read more about the authors of our favourite mods. ;)

Hey Gstaff, I was wondering why the BethBlog has an age check now. I looked back through the entries since my last visit but didn't see any mention of it.

Edit:seems to have only been that one time, weird.

You! :D

That was a serious nomination, BTW, if BethBlog people are reading.

EDIT: Wait, I've already nominated you, I take that back! :P

I'll have to pick someone new. Someone nobody else has thought of...

Didn't notice if he's been mentioned yet or not, but if I may be so bold, I nominate PacificMorrowind. He's risen up lately as a very active and helpful member in many areas.

Hehe, I am apparently the longest winded BethBlog interviewee yet. Even after he edited out a bunch of my rambling! ;)

Anyway, I think the interviews have been pretty cool. One of the things Gstaff cut was my comments on that - I was originally pretty opposed to them for a bunch of reasons. But I was wrong, they've turned out really cool. And, of course, heh, it's an honor to be interviewed.

Thanks to everyone who read!

Btw, I just noticed my Inbox was full - I don't know if anyone tried to contact me, but if you did, I didn't get it.
