Oblivion Modding Showcases

List of Episodes:

Description:

As some of you may already be familiar with, for the past year and a half we've had a series of videos running on YouTube covering a wide variety of Morrowind mods called Morrowind Modding Showcases, and over the course of the last 18 months we've showcased over 520 mods, many of which had no real YouTube presence before. Now it was brought to my attention a while back that, while the newer Bethesda games such as Skyrim and Fallout 4 have plenty of channels dedicated to showing off mods for them, Oblivion currently has no regular modding showcase series and indeed, not much presence at all on YouTube in terms of mod videos, despite a still very active community.

So today I'm proud to announce that we're taking the successful format of Morrowind Modding Showcases and bringing it over to Oblivion for Oblivion Modding Showcases or just OMS for short. This series will be dedicated to covering a wide range of mods for Oblivion, and each episode will contain ten new mods in ten different categories with easy to use menu annotations and timestamps for simple viewer navigation. The purpose of these showcases will be to simply show off enough of the mod so that viewers get a good idea of what the mod does without necessarily spoiling the whole thing, and indeed we will be taking pains not to show off too much content and to leave some things to be discovered by the player.

Now to sort of explain our category system, it basically follows the same format and layout as Morrowind Modding Showcases, with the Popular Mod of the Week being a mod that has more than 100 endorsemants and our Underrated Mod of the Week being a mod with less than 50 endorsemants. These categories are designed to capture viewer interest and hopefully promote worthwhile mods for players to check out.

You can find our full category layout down below:

Popular Mod of the Week

House Mod of the Week

Gameplay Mod of the Week

Town Mod of the Week

Items Mod of the Week

Quests Mod of the Week

Landmass Mod of the Week

NPC Mod of the Week

New Meshes and Textures Mod of the Week

Underrated Mod of the Week

Now something else we'll be doing is that, just like with Morrowind Modding Showcases, every other episode of OMS will be a themed episode, which is to say it'll focus on mods with a particular theme or type of content. For example, there might be a pirate themed episode, or a mages themed episode, and the idea is to cover a lot of similar mods in the same video. If you have any suggestions for possible future themes, do please post them below!

And in any event, you can find the mod layout for our very https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffDXXh-y40E down below:

Thanks for reading, I hope you guys like this new video series, and I sincerely hope this will help out the Oblivion modding community and help foster renewed interest in modding! :)

Actually all David Brasher's mods are gems of their own.

I suggest that you search for TheNiceOne's mod collection on Nexus and his mods are quite useful such as the Dymanic Maps mod along with the Map Marker Overhaul (MMO), not mention the Enhanced Economy mod.

Also have a look at Arthmoor's mod collection http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/3024-relzbetawipz-arthmoors-collection/. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/985872-relz-kyomas-mod-collection-thread-1/ is another modder that's useful mods and some mods are even required for other mods to work properly.

Here is a http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/33657 mod and I don't think many people use it, but I could be wrong about that.

Great video, as always! What's up with the horizontal stretching, though?
