Oblivion more creative? and can future ES go back?

Before i start i find this relivent as it can lead too discussing future elder scroll games. also i have no idea if this kind of topic is over talked so dont tell how it is, i would have no idea.

My opinion on this is that the game was more targeted on making a unique character not becoming a god in everything. tho you still can in oblivion. in skyrim there was hardly anything unique about selecting a race. it mattered more in oblivion. your weapons need to be repaired, they would wear down after awhile. its obvious that magic was completly watered down. you cant create your own spells in skyrim which was my biggest upset for the game. magic wasint something to fear in skyrim. there was alot more things to conjure up in oblivion. dont get me wrong there were upgrades to skyrim. i just feel the creativity and the game as a whole was dumbed down so younger kids could play it and understand. or just that they wanted to dumb it down for the public as a whole. i dont know. skyrim was just way more flash to me.

if it wasint so late i would have put way more detail into this post i realize its kind of dull but i wanted too get some sort of my idea out.
