If oblivion's music is in skyrim

Post » Sun May 26, 2013 11:43 am

I can imagine skyrim to be more popular. Skyrim is already popular but the music is a letdown for me comparing to oblivion. The nostalgic in oblivion's music cant compare with skyrim. A real pity really. Oblivion is underrated.

Also wouldnt it be better for twostepsfromhell's music to replace skyrim's battle music?

I like Oblivion's music more, but it wouldn't fit Skyrim. Windhelm guards svck ass.

I like Oblivion's music in Oblivion and Skyrim's music in Skyrim. Don't think Oblivion's music would work in Skyrim or Skyrim's in Oblivion.

I don't know; I've put the music off months ago in both Skyrim and Oblivion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yG88QrDvu0 is my favorite exploring track in any of the last three games. But I think the rest of the soundtrack is uneven in quality.

Overall, I like Morrowind's music better than Oblivion's music and I like Oblivion's music better than Skyrim's music.

And they actually helped you if you ran to road patroller with a mountain lion on your tail. These Skyrim milkdrinkers run away screaming like little girls

On topic, music is one thing i can't complain about in Skyrim :hehe:

Hard for me to decide on a favorite, but if I have to choose it's Oblivion, because the battle music isn't as distracting. Love the music in both. And no, Oblivion's music wouldn't fit in Skyrim.

And all guards rock! Ordinators moreso than the rest :disco:

Well out of the two choices, I'd give it to Oblivion to be the better of the two, even though I feel Daggerfall out does the rest of the series music wise. However, the soundtracks for each were written for each game. Oblivion's would not fit with any of the others, and vice-versa.

Also, Daggerfall guard is best guard.

Oblivion

No. I immensely enjoy Skyrim's music. Immensely. I immensely enjoy Oblivion's music. Immensely. I give Oblivion the edge, as it was my first open world. I play Oblivion still currently, so nostalgia is not a factor.

I chose the latter yes. Swing by Dawnguard HQ and show your mettle before I support you faithfully in battle.

Oblivion has a better sound track overall. However Skyrim has the best main theme by far... yes better than Marrowinds. That and the Sovngarde theme.

This is how I see it.

Skyrims music > Oblivions music
Oblivions music > Morrowinds music
Morrowinds music > Skyrims music

Which doesn't make any sense. Nobody will blame you if you prefer this music or that one, you know. :)

I prefer Oblivion's music, it reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean, my second favourite trilogy, it just has a pirate-y feel for me.

Still laughing at them putting Morrowind tracks in the soundtrack. is there NOTHING in Skyrim that was not half-assed? Is ES to become the COD of RPG's now? Yeah, they would like that wouldn't they...

That is one of my very favorite parts of the soundtrack. I absolutely love that Bethesda did that. The first time I heard that track I was in Windhelm, walking past the New Gnisis Cornerclub. Seeing that and hearing that music at the same time nearly brought tears to my eyes. It's one of my favorite memories of Skyrim.

Yea the music for Daggerfall is my favorite. One minute theres some dark forboding your gonna die here! dungeon music playing then next theres some tranquil idyllic music as you step out of the dungeon and into the life giving sunshine filled wilderness. After a long journey as some lonely music is playing in the night air you enter a tavern finding yourself suddenly full of cheer as festive tavern music is playing with the smell of hot mutton and warm baked bread hitting your imagination.

The music of Skyrim is my second favorite capturing all the magic of previous Elder Scrolls chapters creating a connection on many levels. I love all the music from all the Elder Scrolls though and it seems as if the more time passes the better it all sounds. At the moment am only using ingame music instead of film and game soundtracks that's how enchanting am finding the music of Oblivion and Morrowind to be as am putting some heavy game time into them lately along Skyrim and Fallout 3. New Vegas is also excellent but theres only so many hours in the day and I needs me sleep!
