My Oblivion for PC has been messing up for quite a while now. At first my file got corrupted, but I decided to make a new one. When I tried that Oblivion wouldn't even start up, it just brings up the menu with "Play, settings, etc.". If I click play the screen turns black and goes away like I hadn't done anything. I reinstalled it but it's acting the same. I have some mods on it so maybe that could be the problem but I'm not sure.

If it worked before, did you make sure to delete the Oblivion.ini file located in My Documents>My Games>Oblivion?

edit: I tried it but the same problem occurs.

The .ini file will recreate itself with up to date specs. Deleting or renaming it may help.

Edit- Well you might as well post a dxdiag.
Post a dxdiag.
XP: Go to Start->run, type “dxdiag” and hit enter. Click the Save All Information button near the bottom right. This will save a Dxdiag.txt in C:\ by default. Then open the dxdiag.txt and copy/paste the information into your post.

VISTA/Windows 7: Go to Start->Search, type “dxdiag” and hit enter, click the Save All Information button near the bottom right. This will save a Dxdiag.txt in C:\ by default. Then open the dxdiag.txt and copy/paste the information into your post.
