Oblivion not starting

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:24 am

I'm having issues with Oblivion. What happens is, when i start Oblivion, I go on play then when its loading, a text pops up saying ''Oblivion has stopped working'' and i have to close the program. I have a Toshiba Notebook and any help would be very helpful!

You will need to provide a ton of additional data you chose to omit. However, you should be aware that the percentage of suitable laptops for playing games on it very small. Most of them cannot do so properly,

If and when a complete problem report, including the standard PC Gaming Computer hardware component summary, and a routine software environmental description is provided, along with full symptom details, then perhaps someone here will be able to offer a suggestion. Sorry to have nothing else for you now.

The locals always ask for something called a DxDiag report. I find the lack of formatting past the 5% point in it (very long thing) is impossible for me to handle. Here's an explanation of what's useful in that report (at least IMO), published in the Fallout NV forum:

Post a dxdiag.
XP: Go to Start->run, type “dxdiag” and hit enter. Click the Save All Information button near the bottom right. This will save a Dxdiag.txt in C:\ by default. Then open the dxdiag.txt and copy/paste the information into your post.

VISTA/Windows 7: Go to Start->Search, type “dxdiag” and hit enter, click the Save All Information button near the bottom right. This will save a Dxdiag.txt in C:\ by default. Then open the dxdiag.txt and copy/paste the information into your post.

Welcome to this forum jab6789. :icecream:

I don't know what OS do you have installed, but you could try this http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1134570-morrowind-options-and-play-wont-work/page__view__findpost__p__16616928. :)

Please note that was successful for another member with Morrowind, but could also worked for Oblivion. :excl:
