Yea, that mud crab one is priceless, mirocu. Somebody had to do it. ;)

Oh, Oh! I missed this one. Thumbs up, mirocu.

Mud crab, oh mud crab
I like your feel
your creepy claws
advance my skill
my armor’s flaws
need more still
Thanks, and thanks for your addendum ;)

Ode to Mud Crab

Mud crab, oh mud crab
hated are thou
Though you make me bow

Mud crab, oh mud crab
sharp is your claw
It is without flaw

Mud crab, oh mud crab
tasty is your meat
Over your feet

Mud crab, oh mud crab
you creak as you go
down with the flow
Away from your foe

I have a feeling we will be talking about this poem, even in a year from now...

Ode to M′aiq

A feline who is really fast,
he certainly won′t finish last
M′aiq is his name!
His Infamy′s lower than his Fame

They call him "the Liar",
and yes, he is not a friar
He speaks weird stuff,
his language; a bit rough
He says hands are for slapping,
and sometimes for clapping

If you want him to talk,
it′s useless him stalk
He runs and leaves you behind,
with little or no words to find

He appears everywhere!
But where is his lair?
In Morrowind, Cyrodiil or Skyrim perhaps?
To bring forth the truth, be sure to use FRAPS

Spoiler
I wrote this during work hours, so this one I actually got paid for!

Good one mirocu! I especially like the part about him running off and leaving you. I've not once had a character who could catch up with him.

Thank you! With his Mighty Sleipner spell, I think Lothran can catch up with him pretty easy now. He′s down in Bravil atm but will head to Anvil later, so we shall see ;)

Use FRAPS to record a video of Lothran catching up? ;)

He'd been told he slept rather soundly
for a man so silent, so bold;
for a man who had a big bounty
over his head, his heart so cold

but always, always he'd wonder:
is that really a surprise! And why?
For so many nights he'd slept under
the dark, vast Morrowind's sky

For what use would it be to let out no noise
in the safety of a small, warm inn
when he knew that here he'd never wake up to the voice
of a horrid monster coming for him

but few the nights when he wouldn't have the dream
that made him wake up and cry;
for in this nightmare he'd still hear the scream
of a beast that would always
fly
so
high

Thank you! No, when I wrote it I didn't even think that it could sound like it was about Rufio! But now that I've read it again, I guess it kinda could be. But originally I kinda wrote it to Morrowind fans that also play Oblivion. I wonder if anyone gets it, cause I'm kinda worried that the poem could be full of errors. English isn't my native tongue

I liked them, too. Just the M'aiq one is my fave, I guess.

I get it. It reads fine.

The thing about English (especially poetry) is traditional rules for sentence structure and balance can be broken. If you were to say that as a normal paragraph, it wouldn't make much sense. But as a poem, as a work of art, what you're trying to say does come across. At least to me, it does.

I hope so! I just felt like making an ode for cliffracers too, when I read the mudcrab one! Maybe I'll stick to writing just for myself in the future, though

I don′t know, maybe it isn′t so Rufio-oriented after all. I just thought of him when I read about the man with an apparent crime behind him and was into hiding

I could have written it better but it′s like with anything I guess; you can tinker and tinker with it till the cows come home and there′s still room for improvements!

I′m honored if I can inspire anyone else so please, if you write Ode to Cliff Racers (even if they′re non-existant in Oblivion ;) ), you must post it here!

Oh, but I thought I just did! Well it wasn't exactly an ode, but the mudcrab ode inspired me to write that poem. This is so awkward, I thought I was a pretty good poet but I seem to have failed badly! Maybe I should just delete the poem and we all could pretend I never wrote it... I'm sorry, I'm just new to the forums!

Incus, you're doing fine! Seriously, we're all supportive here. If you delete it then I'll get mad at you.

I think it was me who failed greatly here. I write poems myself but don′t understand others  Like I said, I just have Rufio on my mind for some reason! :D
Either way, it was good writing, make no mistake! I just interpreted it like it was about a man  Please don′t stop writing just because I made a boom-boom.

Thank you! I really didn't have a clue if it was understandable or not, since I'm not so good at English. And isn't it one great thing about poems that everyone sees them a bit differently from others, that they can mean different things to different people! I don't know what "boom-boom" means, but don't worry, right now I'm laughing at this whole mess.
