I had many Oblivion characters, let me give a brief outline to what fates they met:
There's http://i42.tinypic.com/21jmys5.jpg, my Champion of Cyrodiil, who ended the Oblivion Crisis with Martin. After those events, she retired to Battlehorn Castle, fell into depression, contemplated suicide, but then had her castle invaded by an army of undead, lead by another character of mine, a female Imperial vampire, who killed Nona and captured her soul in a special soul gem. It is worth noting that Nona is the reincarnation of Saint Alessia (though she did not know this.)
As far as my vampire woman goes. She's still alive, and plans on visiting Skyrim eventually...
http://i40.tinypic.com/10oi2rm.jpg, a Breton woman, became the Gray Fox, and wore the Cowl of Nocturnal as the leader of the Thieves Guild for a very long time. During these times, she also re-established the Dunburrow Pirates, and brought them back from obscurity. Eventually, age began catching up to Andreil, and she passed the Cowl down to an up-and-coming thief. She continued to sail and pillage with the Dunburrow Pirates for a few more years before dying of natural causes. Her crew buried her at sea.
http://i39.tinypic.com/25pihc5.jpg, the timid Bosmer adventurer, obtained a great deal of power and knowledge from Nenalata. She obtained the Ten Ancestors for Umbacano, then tricked him by giving him the Crown of Lindai instead of the Crown of Nenalata. Ariane donned the Crown of Nenalata and crowned herself the new http://i41.tinypic.com/210etdz.jpg. Afterward, she set out to restore the Ayleid ruins to the massive cities they once were. With little support, and with many who would try to stop her from achieving her goals, Ariane was ultimately unsuccessful. She vanished several years later and has not been seen nor heard from since.
http://i39.tinypic.com/nczcrl.jpg, the Redguard woman, started off in Morrowind, searching for her own beliefs as she studied the various cults and religions of Tamriel from the inside. After the Tribunal fell, Dhalomine studied the Daedric cults. She found herself inexplicably drawn to Sheogorath, and even completed a task for him, but found the Daedra as a whole to be unfavorable, and attempted to move to the Imperial cult, and proceeded to Cyrodiil. While in Cyrodiil, she eventually ended up uncovering the Knights of the Nine. With them, she defeated Umaril the Unfeathered and was named Holy Crusader. Shortly after this, she heard a calling from Niben Bay. There, she found a door to the Shivering Isles. She entered that door and never returned.
http://i43.tinypic.com/t0orh4.jpg, the Breton woman, joined the Mage's Guild. Her curiosity eventually lead her to Necromancy, despite the ban on it in the guild. As Zoey continued to study deeper and deeper into Necromancy in private, she fought against the Necromancers of Mannimarco. Eventually, Zoey defeated Mannimarco, as well as became a great and powerful Necromancer. Her curiosity lead her elsewhere after she became the Arch-Mage and re-instated Necromancy. Zoey would eventually uncover the secrets of Lichdom, and http://i44.tinypic.com/xfrrsy.jpg. This proved disasterous for the people of Cyrodiil, and though Zoey was able to hide her Lichdom through heavy usage of Illusion and the cooperation of certain guild-mates, she was eventually banished from the Guild and chased out of Cyrodiil. Zoey's exact location is currently unknown.
I have two active characters, http://i40.tinypic.com/vr7gqo.jpg and http://i44.tinypic.com/ev59vt.jpg, both of which are still alive and going through their stories. I doubt Gwen will ever meet an official end, but Luca might. Time only knows!
