Oblivion XP

Have a problem with the oblivion XP mod. I'm running FCOM and some other mods as well and it has worked perfectly before I installed this mod. The problem is that my XP goes crazy when I load a save(when the mod is initializing). I'm constantly gaining xp after load, and there is a constant ticking sound (the same as when you gain xp). I remember this happening once before also, but don't remember how I fixed it.

What is wrong here?

Uhm..that thread is kind of..err..

Ahaha it kind of pains me that i'm one of the first users of that mod since the very first version(2.0..wow memories) and I can't help anyone with it because it's a very complex mod. Really only SF can properly troubleshoot problems with it -.-.

Use the bashed patch to print your load order, not the BOSS log. Right-click on the "File" tab in Wrye Bash, and use the "List mods" function.

A suggestion(and it might fix the problem)

Remove this - 40 Smarter Mercantile Leveling - Multi.esp

Because ObXP handles that and all the other skills(you're in control of you skill progression this time and not the system).

Also get the OBSE 18 version of ObXP if you haven't..and is using OBSE18.

Use Fast Quit instead of clean quit, and you need to upgrade OOO to the latest version for FCOM. Take the unused plugins in your data folder out, uninstalling them, and make sure that the Oblivion XP leveling menus are installed. Make sure you have the right versions for your UI (or Vanilla) installed.

To clarify, his MMM, OOO and FCOM could all be updated, but what he has at the moment is balanced, just not the most recent.

However, the fact that the OOO.esm says 1.34 and the OOO.esp says 1.33 is very likely to be problematic.

Upgrading all three is recommended, but if you haven't installed MMM with BAIN or OBMM, then it will require some extra steps.

No I don't think I used OBMM for MMM. Remember it was a mess to get i working. And I also just installed mercentile leveling right before oblivion xp so that can be it.

It's called "smarter mercentile leveling" I have no idea if it conflicts but Terra Nova stated that it may fix the problem.

Well it worked. Just deactivated smarter mercantile leveling and no more crazy experience. Had to load a save before I started using XP though. Probably have to get around to updating some mods also, and thanks for the help.

Well I just said the UI bit because often people forget about that part.

Just to note for future users: There can be no mod, no matter what else it does not edit that changes the way any skill or attribute advances. When there is one, it breaks ObXP. This is why it is sadly incompatible with things like willful resistance, progress and nGCD.

I usually make that recommendation too. I was confused about which merc leveling mod the OP was referring to, and I had not heard of a merc leveling mod (with that sort of name) that had a menu file. The UI issues get people all over the place: leveling mods, DarN fonts, hotkey mod conflicts, other random UI mods (that are not obviously, I guess, UI mods.)

Acctually the mercantile mod wasn't the problem. It was a backup save program called INCREMENTAL SAVER which I have been using to keep my savegames from becoming corrupt. I really would like to keep on using a program like it. Anyone know if there are any that doesent conflict with OBLIVION XP?

Kuertee's Auto Save and Time works fine with Oblivion XP.

I'm pretty sure Streamline does as well.

I would definitely use Kuertee's autosave mod if it were compatible with Streamline. Does someone happen to know if they work together with SL's autosaves turned off. (That is my favorite SL feature too.)

ASAT is taking care of saving, timescale, PCB and crucified corpses.

Streamline is only using Streamsmooth and Streamsight.

O_o now why would that conflict with it..

and SL definitely is compatible(or I would not be using ObXP).
