its what people say to you when your Disposition is very very very low

I know, I was just teasing. That's why I had a winking smiley face. I was just being a smart-ass, more or less...

Me and my cousin would always greet each other. "Saw a Mudcrab the other day." It became a thing for three months. We just baffled people.

Also, while I never did it. At the time of Oblivion's release I had been considering for a while to join the police, Oblivion furthered my motivated by giving me the prospect of being able to yell. "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!" And then being able to make an arrest. I would of died with joy. *sigh* But I didn't join up, but I sometimes wonder 'what if'. :)

Sometimes I exclaim "Capital!"

One time I said that while playing Lord of the Rings Online and all sorts of people started talking about the Gray Fox. :foodndrink:

Aww, I would have loved to get arrested by you (of course, I'm not a criminal in RL, so you'd have a hard time finding a reason to do so.... ;)

I'll have to try the mud crab thing. Sounds like fun. I wonder if I'd be able to convince my husband to try it with me the next time we go shopping?

I'd have to plant something on you so I can make a citizen arrest and fulfil my dream. :P

The whole mud crab thing started off as a joke, then it just found its way into our vocabulary. We didn't even say hi to each other it was just. "Saw a mud crab the other day." Think it was a sign that we was playing the game too much and had too much time on our hands.

Oh, Aldos Othran the drunken Dunmer fellow around Cheydinhal. His Cliff Racer song followed me for months. At random intervals I would just suddenly break out with, "Flyin' Flyin' in the sky!!! Cliff Racer fly so Hiiiiigh." Another example that I was playing the game too much. But what can you expect, I :tes:

Citizen arrest is cool, just as long as you let me off the hook afterward.

Ha! I love that song! I sang it just the other day when my husband said something that reminded me of it. Yeah, we probably do play it too much, and that's pretty much the only game I play anymore these days... But I like being addicted to TES. If someone tried to put me in TES rehab, I'd fight them the whole way! No one takes away my TES! Serious consequences may result...

^This, and I′ve also been using "By the Maker" (DA:O) quite a bit! And once I woke a friend up using"You sleep rather soundly for a murderer", it worked...

I do indeed quote Oblivion a lot in real life, not as much as I used to though.
I always greet friends with either "You have my Ear, Citizen" or "You're the Grey fox!" It's really fun.

not a quote, but disturbingly, after the first couple of solid weeks playing obliv on release, I went to the supermarket with a mate, and exclaimed at seeing a sign waving about - 'check out the physics on that!'. Never quite lived that down tbh

Reminds me of "Lockpick Syndrome"
If you play Fallout 3 for too long, you begin to always pick up any bobby pins you see.
The Oblivion Version?
Quoting Lines.
Bethesda, you are bleeding into real life with EVERY SINGLE RPG YOU MAKE!
Please, continue doing so.

I often yell, "This is the part where you fall down and bleed to death," on various occasions. :P

Hm, I wonder what occasions would require the use of a quote like that...?

Edited for punctuation mistake...

Ha, I just remembered one because I used it a few minutes ago--I was cleaning something in the kitchen, and I said to myself, "Ugh, that's foul!" It took me but a moment to suddenly realize where it came from--I use that one fairly often, when I find something that looks or smells gross. I love how TES can find its way into our daily lives without us even realizing it! :D

Not exactly a quote, but I know TES finds a way to my daily life when I stare at any plant I don't know of, and I inevitably wonder about it's alchemical ingredients.

It happens to me every time :)

Excellent - hope it works better than it does on mine

And... just one more .... earlier this week I was being buttered up to do some work for a colleague, and actually found myself muttering under my breath 'I doubt you really mean that...'

Made me chuckle....

The only thing I can think of is when ever I hear "Halt" anywhere I immediatly think "HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT!"
It's from Daggerfall, but still.

Oh well, I was actually quite ashamed when I said this yesterday, but what the hell I'm going to post it. Me and my friend have to do a project for school, and things were going really well, until she had an idea for the project. She and I both play Oblivion for such a long time now. I refused the idea but later that day in school she tried to convince me and convince me by her smooth talking. She's a really good talker, you see. I was sick of it and suddenly said - out loud, in class - ''By the nine devines! Don't try to manipulate me!''
