Hey, with the Oblivion 5th year anniversary game out for $29.99 would it be worth getting for PC. I have played Oblivion on PS3 for 200-300 hours and I always heard that the PC version blew the consoles away. Now that I have a PC capable of running it do you think it would be worth picking up before Skyrim comes out? Is their any differences between the PC and PS3 version besides graphics. Also how stable is Oblivion on PC does it crash a lot? Thanks for the Information!

The difference is the modding community. Without mods the only difference will purely be aesthetics.

EDIT: and probably more than a few CTD's

I had a roommate who played Oblivion on her 360 for a while.
It looks so awful.
I could never play Oblivion without Darnified UI.
I don't like to scroll for 15 minutes through my inventory of 50 items.
Rather be able to just see them all at once.

So do you think it would be worth getting?

yeah the graphics are amazing i play with all at high and very high and oblivion not only blows the console away like every games that are for pc can blow any console

I'd say it's worth it as long as you plan on getting mods for it. If you don't want to mess with mods, then I'd say stick with the console.

Hell yea. Good mods can make this great game turn into an absolute masterpiece. There is a small learning curve if you want to use a lot of mods though, so make sure you do your research in the Oblivion Mods forum here.

Definitely worth it just for the mods. There's a lot of amazing stuff there.
