[REL] Oblivion WarCry New Dimension EV

Levelup Findings.

I have done a lot of experimentation to get the levelup to work. The following is what I have done and my subsequent findings.

1) If I use the OWC UI, I levelup but am unable to distribute attribute points - in other words I level up as regards level 2, level 3, but none of my attributes levelup.

2) With Darkuid Darn, I get a levelup screen which only allows me to put 1 point on each of 3 attributes.

3) If I then do as suggested by the modder and use his levelup_menu.xml with Darkuid Darn to suppress the vanilla levelup screen, I'm back to the result stated in 1).

I should add all the above is when using the English install.

I then scrubbed that and put in the German install, but using the English esps - gave the same results as before, with an English inventory.

Then tried German install with German esps - levelup works like a charm, but of course everything in the inventory is German, making it troublesome to know what you've got.

So, my theory is that the English esp is at fault, and I wish the modders would comment because it's frustrating to either not be able to levelup or not know what's in your inventory.

Any feedback welcome, because I'd really like to be able to play this mod.

I have also tried copying various things over, but only the German esp enables me to levelup.

I have the German Oblivion and German OWC-ND 1.21 and LevelUp works fine.
v1.10 DV worked perfectly too. I once tested 1.10 DV with DarNified UI and there were problems with the LevelUp system.
The original LevelUp screen showed up (where you can put 1 point on 3 different attributes) and after that the OWC-ND LevelUp screen showed up (where you can apply 10 skill points). The patch which nnw posted (http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1166726-rel-oblivion-warcry-new-dimension-ev/page__view__findpost__p__17311477) is needed to disable the original LevelUp screen when using DarNified UI.
It must be a bug in the 1.10 EV that the OWC-ND LevelUp screen doesn't show up at all.

"Hem" "Hust"

In the EV of ND is a Error, but i dont know why, because

The Radio Button behind of OWCLevelinSystem => Start Game Enabled is not set but in the German Version it is ....

I have correct this and deleted the complete "Section Dialog" from the EV ESP with TES4Gecko.

The Level System should now work and the Dialogs are not longer "german".

You can download this "special ESP" from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36260#

You can do this ingame:

Open the Console ^ and Type:

startquest OWCLevelinSystem

Thanks for fixing the error R3NNW, and an even bigger thank you for translating the mod into English :). I look forward to seeing what the updates to the mod will contain and I hope there will be translations of those as well.

For anyone reading this that hasn't decided if it's worth the download or not all I can say is that it definitely is. It can be a bit unforgiving in the earlier levels when you quite often run into enemies that you have no chance of beating, but it's very satisfying when you've gained a few levels. This is a very high quality mod IMO in terms of visual quality, loot, and creatures and it all seems to be well balanced which I think is very important.

It would be nice if it was compatible with wac overspawn but I can live without it ;).

When you use Wyre Batch, it is. And as Psymon say => It works fine.
I will translate the 1.21 to english, if my RL let me enough time.....

Umm no I really didn't test overspawn that much - it works fine with regular wac.esp

If using bash then get the BOSS added bash tags or things will not appear correctly - especially relev and delev.

Having this work friendly with other overhauls that rework the leveled lists (such as WAC overspawn, any from FCOM, or TIE) will likely require patches even with bash.

Or if you are even less picky than me about whether each every facet is available then just arrange load order. In trying to mix with TIE I found one or the other did block what looked like very interesting spawns from the other - so that combo won't work as is. That is the only overhaul I think would work well with this as they both seem to be largely unleveled.

Is the "special ESP " supposed to replace OWC - New Dimension.esp? Or load after it?

EDIT: Never mind, I found that I just needed to rename the special ESP to OWC - New Dimension.esp and replace the original.

First of all, thanks to R3NNW for the levelup fix - it's much appreciated.

My question has already been covered regarding bash tags for this overhaul but.........
I'm confused, as CorePC and R3NNW seem to disagree on which tags to use, so I'm uncertain as to which ones to implement.

Really, I'm looking for advice on bash tags for all 3 esps, (New Dimension Seaworld and Mannequin.)

Naturally, I would be interested on the modders' take on this. Thanks in advance.

I am trying out the mod today and have a few questions/observations:

I downloaded the 1.0 and 1.10 files from the DV website. I then downloaded the EV esp files from nexus.

I installed using BAIN (without the mneus folders)

The install for 1.0 and 1.10 gives me error about unicode. I ignored it. Anything to fix this?
I installed and activated the esp
Installed darnified UI

Started game as a dwarf.
Thw dwarf skin looks like it is made from multiple textures, there are slight mismatches on the body, torso, and arms. Is this normal?

Got used to being short and looking up at everyone. Whole new experience for me.

Took a look at my active effects and have fortify attributes but the description as to from what is in german. Is this normal or am I missing something from the install?

Rented horse, met bandit and engaged in battle. The rented horse joined me. However at the end I must have hit the horse because it began attacking me. Couldn't stop the fight, even when I clicked on it and got dialog to rent again. Had to console kill it. Is this normal?

Stats for my iron arrows show 0 damage but when shooting them they have an effect and do cause damage. Is this normal?

I find alot of clutter that are parchemnt. For examle Parchment "The quiet hunter". Can't read thse as they are not under books but under Misc in the inventory. Is this normal?

Went to Francasul and found it to be impossible at level 1 (4 wraiths, ghost, pirate, undead legion soldier, hanter named vivian). Got out of there.

Will play some more as this looks pretty good.

Any feedback from anyone would be appreciated to let me know if what I have noticed is normal.

My LO only has vanila GOTYThis mod, and darnified UI.

Some files have german umlauts in their name. Wrye Bash can't handle them. You have to copy them manually to your data folder.

yes. your bow causes damage but the crappy iron arrows don't cause additional damage.

that's normal. OWC-ND is a lot more challenging than the vanilla oblivion especially in the lower levels. But once you gain a few more levels you will find it a lot more fun.

You have forgotten to install a Body Replacer.

Got used to being short and looking up at everyone. Whole new experience for me.

Will be fixed in 1.21 sry, forgotten to translate.

Yes

Stats for my iron arrows show 0 damage but when shooting them they have an effect and do cause damage. Is this normal?

Yes, because the Inventory displays weapons with very small damage (1 point or less) not correctly.

I find alot of clutter that are parchment. For example Parchment "The quiet hunter". Can't read these as they are not under books but under Misc in the inventory. Is this normal?

Yes. These things are filler 'stuff '

Went to Francasul and found it to be impossible at level 1 (4 wraiths, ghost, pirate, undead legion soldier, hanter named vivian). Got out of there.

ND is little bit harder in the first (1 - 10) Levels.

PeterID-

The unicode error is an issue with Wrye Bash not being able to handle foreign language characters.

You will have to put the missing textures for those items in by hand. If you decide to remove OWC ND then remove those textures first (easy to find with BAIN still having OWC ND in red still).

Otherwise if you uninstall with BAIN it will crash.

This is a Wrye Bash issue - the only thing that the mod authors can do is alter the names of files to use all English lettering.

I have a question. Which file is responsible for the darker transparency cinematic border effect when entering dialog?
I installed OWCND without the menus to but would like to keep that wonderful effect for dialog. It was a real treat!

Thanks

Thanks, in the end I decided to do a full manual copy to this setup, as it will be dedicated to OWCND. Right now I am testing and getting my [censored] handed to me at every turn. But that is OK. Next I want to see if Wrye leveling will work well with this.

Any hints as to what those vials with unknown content do? Will it ever be revealed? I assume some sort of poisons?

After Wrye leveling I will need to check how companions do in this, especially Vilja.

I get a kick out of the translations to English. It is like when I speak with my collegues in our company in Germany. Once you know the lingo, it is smooth sailing. They did a good job in the translation.

Lastly, is it me or does the game run pretty smooth with this installed. Seems like I have nice performance compared to some of the other overhauls.

Yeah I find it pretty smooth - the jagged comes from content (as in "WTH was that thing"). So I would not say a fault I'm experiencing is with instability.

I think the unk potions have to do with alchemy level - once higher you can tell what they are.

Not sure about Wrye Leveling, but it should work. I'm going to use OblivionXP with this.

I been thinking about Oblivion XP also but like the control I have with Wrye Leveling.

Game warned me Sir Uther Pendragon was in the vacinity. Good thing the game does that. Next time I will run!

So far I found no safe dungeon to work with.

I saw your post about cava oscura. Will install that next and see how it goes. Then AWLS. Those are must haves.

Aehhhhh.... No.

The only way to "know" what the different Poisons do, is to sort them by their effect length.....
Or you use the Poison Sorter in my House PI for ND (German only).

Never mind about this request. I found the entries in DarkUI for Darn where I could create the same cinematic faded borders.

Can you be any more cryptic? :)

So, for those who can't use your house mod, can you offer the answer as to what effects they have? Or is there no way to know in the German version either?

Sorting by effect length I assume the following:
1 second poisons probably add instant damage (fire or frost or shock) on strike.
The over time potions probably damage health over time, just do not know magnitude or effect.

So is there anything from the German manual that may explain these or is this just a mystery thing that never gets truly revealed to anyone?
