I am quite into the game with over 200 hours played in it (and expansionpacks). Still loads more to do.

But now I am advancing in the Mage Guild University and am sent out to Dark Fissure for the black gems etc.

In this Dark Fissure, I get graphic artifacts that stay. And that also makes my savegames corrupt. As I can't load these recent save games. Oblivion hangs on the loading screen then (the bar stops in the beginning already).

I looked up on the internet but no such bugs on the Oblvion Wikipedia site.

When I load an older savegame, everything is fine running, so it's not the install or graphics card. To me it is this quest into Dark Fissure that messes up as far as I can see.

Does anyone know the solution? Otherwise I have to go back to a 5 days old savegame. I played quite some last days.
