I have heard there is Morrowind style fast travel in Skyrim. Is this true? Where was it confirmed? How will it work? I'm not too bothered about fast travel to be honest, I liked it in both Morrowind and Oblivion; I'm just not gonna lie, I want to know as much as possible about Skyrim and this is one thing that just suprised me!

It's a carriage system to travel between major locations, IIRC. It's been confirmed all over the place for a while now.

Welcome to the Forum! And the travel system will be operated by carriages, not instant teleportation.

I swear to God I was up to date on EVERYTHING, I had no idea. Well cheers mate, I think the carriage system is actually quite clever, if done well.

Cheers mate, and Im not exactly new I just couldn't remember my password and I'm not one to fuss around trying to remember it haha. But that's alright, I wias fine with Oblivion's travel but to be fair I do prefer Morrowind style and I would like to be 'forced' to use it instead of Oblivions style .

The Carriage System is for travel between major and district cities. There is ALSO Morrowind/Oblivion-style Fast Travel.

It hasn't been stated that it will be instant transportation, it will probably again involve a loading screen, and it's possible there may be random encounters that stop you along the way ... which I think would be great.
