Obscure Nerevarine Curses Pt. 2

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:03 am

I recently began reinvestigating the obscure of the http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/sevencurses.shtml and because, as I understand it, resurrecting old threads is a bit frowned on in this forum, I'll start a new "Seven Curses" thread that pertains to the unexplained ones: the fourth, fifth, and sixth curses, which are Curse-of-Ghosts, Curse-of-Seed, and Curse-of-Despair, respectively.

I think I'm onto something with the fourth one: the fourth one MUST deal with the Sea of Ghosts. In http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/lessons.shtml#15 of the 36 Lessons when the Sharmat speaks, he says he brings "AN ANCIENT SEA" and refers to Morrowind's Dark Elf population as "BLIND FISH" and basically tells them to swim in the new fire, and since I literally just read that as I type this sentence, I havent' figured it out yet.

Much discussion would do me veeeery good at this point, ladies and gents.

edit: provided another link because I'm an inconsiderate piece of crap.

In the original verse in the dialogue. My memory's rusty.

Perhaps Dagoth Ur was going to use "the Ancient Sea," that is, earth's blood, which is lava, and "drain" it into the northern Sea of Ghosts, which itself is "http://www.imperial-library.info/pge/skyrim.shtml," thereby flooding the Sea itself.

Am I getting somewhere?

What the Sharmat brings is AN ANCIENT SEA. It means that he brings the Divine Dreamworld. Untill he has taken you there, you are BLIND FISHES. Seeing neither dream or divinity, but the mundane and temporal.

Heh, don't take the Sermons literaly. Whenever you think they are referring to something physical, they probably aren't.

'Blind fish swiming in an ancient sea' makes me think of the animae of slain daedra floating in sensory deprivation in the waters of Oblivion...
