Have you ever noticed that Super Mutants carry a rifle with a scope, but when you take it from their cold, dead, meaty paws, that it changes back to a no-scope hunting rifle?

I want that scope. Just sayin.

Have you ever noticed that you can activate parking meters all day long? The first time I discovered this, I waited for about 30 seconds for something to happen. Like spare change or something. Don't get me started on the radios scattered throughout the wasteland.

I still do that with the parking meters. One of these days I will find one that spits caps at me, I just know it!

I discovered the parking meters thing at Jury Street Metro. I walked up and looked and it said to activate. So I did and waited and waited and tried again and tried another one. And nothing. :verymad:

It also took me awhile to realize that the Super-mutants were using an enlarged version of the Hunting-rifle.

I worked hard to shake off the habit. The withdrawals were horrible.

I've noticed at night ( Broken Steel ), when I go to B Ring, that Elder Lyons is often leaving his bedroom and Scribewoman Jameson is sleeping in the bed.

Power Armor Coupling! :hubbahubba:

I just found two things:

1. A regular toilet in the wastes gives me 18 rads per sip. (Don't judge me brah.) A toilet in Little Lamplight only gives me 3 rads per sip. What's up with that? I suspect it has something to do with the fungus.

2. Just found out last night, can't believe I didn't know before, AND THIS IS A SPOILER, so ne clicke pas, if you don't wanna know,
Spoiler
Knick Knack sells a bottlecap mine schematic! Which gives me all three mine schematics at level 14, instead of later, much later in the game. Oh, happy day!!!

And another:

I've been flirting with disaster: *puts on early 19th century elephant hunting outfit*
I've been trying to kill a charging enemy, WITH NO VATS, to have it die at my feet, or within about three feet of me.
I've just experimented with yao guai, your mileage may vary:
(level 14, small guns about 65)
If you can get the initial shot at about 50 yards in sneak mode, it takes two more rifle shots, then two quick magnum shots at the end, when he is in your face.
You're not allowed to move, when you initiate hostilities.
I started this with my Lucas Simms, from the DiD thread, so I cannot save, but you might want to if you are just starting out. Give it a try! :tops:

PS: If it freaks you out, just wait until they are in your face and about to charge, then just do a sidestep, and their charge (I'm talking animals only here) will go past you, then you can turn around and take appropriate action for the deathclaw in your face.

About the parking meters here you can activate them at any time, if you like to waste your money.
What is really wrong is activating them does not remove a cap.

I'm home sick, so here's another one:

Have you ever activated Sawbones the medic at the Citadel?
Even if you are at full health, ask him to begin triage protocol on you.
Ask him to do a level 2 diagnostic, then tell him to reroute coordinates 06x7543 whatever and reroute neural paths. I cried laughing at his response.

That's what I did, but I'm too stupid to understand his response.
Spoiler
All that neural path does is block his motor abilities so that he is less precise with his instruments. When I closed the path he called me an a-hole as if I've just deprived him of some basic right as an individual. Is that path some sort of free will thing, that could have developed into an awareness? No. So I don't understand his response and calling me an a-hole. Unless he caused that malfunction himself so that he can injure people.

I thought of it as that there was nothing wrong to begin with, and I made him do all that work for nothing.

I was mashing my keyboard the other day to clean off some of the dust (while I was play FO3) and then suddenly my character lights up. It was daytime and I didn't notice it right away, but then when I entered my Megaton house, I'm like  All this time I had been wishing that FO3 had a flashlight option and then double check controls in the game manual and do a huge  Apparently holding in your Pip-boy menu button will turn the light on & off and it took me a full first thorough playthrough to find that out.

1. Did you have more rad resistance equipped when at Lamplight?
2. I originally thought you only needed one schematic per weapon, but found out otherwise some long time later when I found some in a Yao Gaou (whatever those bear things are called) cave and decided to pick them up anyway, but thinking I didn't really need them.

The fungus soaks (not sure if the right word) radiation into it.

Also noticed that the Rotunda entrance doors in the Jefferson Memorial are backwards. You enter through the left door, you wind up coming out the right door when in the Rotunda and out the left door when initially going into the right door.

Hey, I didn't know about VATS until I accidentally dropped the controller.
As for the schematics, I tend to be an explosives nut. I will make the dart gun right away, but will not make bottlecap mines or nuka grenades until I have at least two schematics.

Yeah, I thought it was that, I just didn't expect it to be so dramatic of a difference.

Yeah, lol, that was a head scratcher the first time I went in. I was confused for a while...

Yep. Amazingly good quality meters, being functional 200 years after a nuclear world war :tops: Understandable however. Total destruction of the world is no excuse to park for free
