Do you think repeating the exact same argument would make it any more viable. No one here cares about game ratings, we go by a little thing called personal experience. If we play a game and we like it, then we will play it again. Don't let other people control what you like, make your own decisions...welcome to the forums.

That broken up by periods....posting style....the lack of capitalization....the over use of "ROFL" always in all caps....

And the use of the same sales/game reviewer ratings arguments! :ooo: OMG i think winterhold5 has the same opinion as Alexander! Now that two count 'em TWO people think that New Vegas svcks cause of ratings and sales it must be true. Sorry everyone, we were wrong, Alex was right. Time to concede and accept.

new vegas IGN 8.5...GameSpot 7.5

We all know how good ign is at reviewing games.

Just for the fun of it I will post this link again ===> http://xbox360.gamespy.com/xbox-360/fallout-new-vegas/1132962p1.html

Here are some highlights:

"foray with the Fallout franchise has sold more than 5 million copies since its release on October 19." (of 2010)
"well over $300 million" in retail sales, a franchise record."
"We are delighted by the reception Fallout: New Vegas has received from fans around the world," said Vlatko Andonov, President of Bethesda Softworks
" underscoring the tremendous popularity of this highly entertaining game."

Yeah New Vegas was a total flop of a game :bonk:

Sounds a bit too much like that Alexander dude from sometime back. Did he get banned and is now here with an all new account, or is he trying to fool people into thinking that there are more people with the exact same arguments as him?
Just a guess, but take a look at this join date and posting history.

I bet if I asked some mod to compare certain IP adresses, he'd "mysteriously" vanish afterwards like many "others"

Because reviews determine how good the game is. Right.

Not any more they don't, it just shows you how much money the publishers are throwing at gaming journalists for a good score.

It was sarcasm. Reviews don't mean ANYTHING nowadays. It's just "whendoweget2cdaboobysandwendowegettoshootthings"

I bet he knew you were being sarcastic. What he was saying (At least from my understanding) is that there was a time when game reviews mattered. Maybe back in the day when PC gaming was new and console gaming had yet to roam the earth. A time when reviews were writen by gamers for gamers. Not by giant companies being paid alot of money by giant video game companies for good reviews, for people that can't think for themselves.

When was that? I started caring for game reviews 2 or 3 years ago so i dont really know. By the way did ign ever made a good review or do they just give 9 and 10 to big names(naughty dog, bethesda, rockstar,...) and 5 and 6 to small names(obsidian)

Wow this thread lived long. Obsidian is working on the south park rpg (as 20 people have told you) and it will probably sell pretty well, considering all the South Park fans out there..

Myself though would rather see them help on the next fallout but, hey, thats my opinion

Well that depends on what comes out during that time. If its christmas then it will blow in terms of sales cuz thats when the military fps's go out and start seeling tons of copies to dron like fans that think that war is the easiest thing to understand and master.

Imagine the CoD players, in a real war, lolololol.

When I was in war, it's absolutely NOTHING like CoD, or Battlefield, which people praise to be "a very very realistic war game"

Ha, if any of them tried wielding a RL minigun they'd wind up flat on their backside in the first second, and spend the next three wasting the rest of the belt firing straight up.

(No, seriously, one of those svckers weighs about 50lbs when empty and kicks like a pissed-off mule, there's a very good reason they're vehicle-mount only)

More on-topic: while I probably won't buy it as I'm not a South Park fan (I stopped liking potty humor a long time ago, for one), if it's being developed by Obsidian then it will probably be fairly good in terms of character development and dialogue options, which are the two main things I care about in games and which New Vegas did quite well (albeit the growth rate is a little too high).

I had to shoot those things, I kept missing :(

Destroyed a forest while I was at it too, no joke.

They told us to put our heads down and keep firing and moving the gun so you won't get hurt. I kept missing and all the trees were like, gone.
