Am a fan of the Elder Scrolls series and would like to see ELO succeed. Also used to be a SWTOR subscriber, and saw several pitfalls there while playing.

Did a search and found http://www.swtor-life.com/editorial/top-5-reasons-why-swtor-failed/7143/. Some of it won't apply (a terrible Hero game engine), while other parts will. Take it for what you will.
