I was wondering where or if Ocato was anywhere in particular during Tharn's usurpation? If he did exist in the lore, was he the nordic person with Uriel... Or was he hired after the Eternal Champion saved Uriel?

You saw him in the live action Daggerfall intro- if you couldn't tell, he was painted yellow.

My question was during Tharn's reign though.

D'oh, wasn't paying attention. He wasn't even named in the Daggerfall video (not until Morrowind), so there's nothing else.

Well, he was only promoted to the position of Imperial Battlemage as a result of the Simulacrum; what he was doing beforehand is never mentioned. Likely a role in either scholarship or politics, or both.

All those arguments about how Ocato could be Imperial Battlemage and the Elder Council and the answer was there all along...
