Hey friends.
Like most of us here, I've been a long time fan of TES and have always dreamed of playing it online with friends.
So far we're absolutely loving the beta however it seems almost impossible for most (Not all) of my buddies and I to be able to block, dodge and interrupt on time due to what we think is server lag. It creates a massive disadvantage when it comes to PvP and fighting stronger NPCs.
No doubt I should have queried this before purchasing the game, but can anyone shed some light on the topic of Oceanic Servers? Will we be getting one? I understand that it's almost impossible for any company to satisfy everybody's needs but it's going to be a MASSIVE kick in the balls for all us guys in the Southern Hemisphere if we're not getting one.

I dont think we will. Its just somthing i think we will have to learn to live with. PVP will be a nightmare

wont be getting a server, but they talked about some direct link they are using from Australia that our traffic will be funnelled down to make life a little easier, i dont know anything about the details of it or even if it has been put into action yet, but apparently it will give us a faster feed to the US server!? Someone with knowledge of that kind of thing might be able to give it a name. There was a thread on Tamriel Foundry that people had discussed it in greater detail, search their forums for the word oceanic and you should be able to find it I guess.

Sounds like what that LowerPing software does. Hopefully it'll be more effective.
