The various Ayleid weapons added in OOO have a scripted effect that adds 1/2/3/4 magicka regen/sec at night, while equipped. However, they're not working for any of my *current* chars. If I create a new character and additem a staff and equip it even in the starting cell, it works (game starts at 1am) and I get the 1mps buff. However, on all of my current chars (levels 17 through 33) no Ayleid weapon gives me any sort of buff at all. I can manually add the buff, and removing the weapon removes the buff, but no matter what time of day it is I never am given the buff (nor does the buff get removed automatically if I manually add it; only removing the weapon removes it).
I've checked the global variable "oooayleidregen", it's getting toggled (so the weapon's script is working), but I can't figure out any way to debug the quest that governs it while ingame (and obviously, it is working, just not in my saved games), other than doing startquest/getstage (no error messages returned, so the quest exists, but it doesn't have stages so getstage doesn't really help me.)
Any ideas? I noticed it because I just found one of the ayleid staves on a shopkeeper and I'd be very interested in buying it, as I'm playing an Atronoch spellcaster, so I could REALLY use the magicka regen (even if it's only at night).
