Wow, so many people are so neat and tidy... I just stuff all the things I don't want to carry around into the locker by the door in the Megaton house (which has no theme or decorations whatsoever, I only ever go there for a quick nap and to hear a joke from Wadsworth, lol...) and then promptly forget about them and never touch them again. :blush2:
The only thing I'm anol about is the condition of my weapons and armor - The moment my Xuanlong rifle goes a single percent below 100 in condition, and I don't have a backup Chinese one to patch it up with, I go hunting muties for loot.

Oh, wait, I know - I will go out of my way to avoid confrontations with the Enclave, even if it means taking a giant detour just to skirt around a lone Enclave trooper. I feel very bad each time I am forced to kill one. I never loot their armor, so as not to leave their naked bodies lying around, and even try to arrange the corpses in a respectful manner if they end up sprawled in some ditch.
That odd enough?

Not that weird, but sometimes I listen to music while playing games. So I do that whilst playing Fallout 3 as well. It's actually a lot of fun if you're listening to something that fits in with the scene.

I collect vault suits

Spoiler
I once spoke to the robobrain in vault 112 100 times just so I could get all those vault suits

Oh me too, I simply cannot leave a vault suit, I have to take it with me, although I never abused that robobrain.

I try to imagine how a twelve year old would interpret Fallout 3.

My mindset changes from other games.

In war games, two sides fighting each other, I am careful, I avoid dying. I hide behind cover, be tactical.

But in Fallout 3, I just don't care about tactics or cover as much.

When I played the Anchorage dlc I changed my midset.

It was like full on war, not just wandering round doing stuff.

Then my mindset was like with Resistance series or Fear series. Shoot, hide, use cover. Don't die.

Then the vs simulation stopped and I went back to just doing stuff.

I always keep my clothes in the far locker of my Megaton house.
With the crafting supplies and some guns.
And quest or michellanious stuff.

In the other locker by the door I put crafting supplies and guns.

I always put aid stuff in the fridge.

I have lots of clothes in my locker, lol. I pick up everything that is good or useful.

I always have at least 3 guns on me and 1 mellee weapon, usually a supersledge.
I usually carry a dirty prewar business suit and prewar bonnet on me or something similarly persuasive and charismatic in case I find hard speech challenges.

I carry a flamer most of the time. After the bodies are stripped i burn them to peices. Raiders, slavers, and rapist ect, I have no tolerence for. I usually leave their bodies to rot or be eaten by whatever.

I'm not sure if this counts as "odd" or not, but I like to play the first time through doing/acting/speaking exactly as I would if it were the real me in that situation. (Let's see how long I'd survive in post-apocalyptic America...)

I am also very OCD when it comes to exploring. I feel it necessary to explore every marker on the map and search every street, building, metal case, etc.

It's not so much the odd things I do in game, but I do find myself getting REALLY annoyed when I can't put my stuff in locker 101 at the gym

Nice to read about everyone's idiocyncracies.

With one character I changed her clothes to suit the situation and would carry like 3 different outfits on a long trip to be prepared for different situations. Never wore any armour, this was like Vault 101 suit (my favourite), pre war casual wear and sixy sleepwear. The last was always used for sleeping in, and I had a particular thing for sleeping in my own bed. It's daft because you don't NEED to sleep. But I would do it periodically.

Another thing is guns. I always disarm when I am not in combat situations, because it doesn't feel right wandering around towns carrying a big gun on your back.

If you think about it this is normal human behaviour. It's only wierd to do these things from the point of view it won't make any difference to the game.

Like many other players, I suppose, I'm obsessive about exploring every last nook and cranny. And I have to read every poster, sign etc, even switching to a scoped weapon if I can't get close enough.

And I can never not take a teddy bear, toy car, Nuka-Cola truck or lunchbox.

I don't always take everything useful that's lying around, for example in Megatron, because I think someone else may really need it.

Also, sometimes if I open a cabinet etc and it's just got a single item that I don't want (like a cup), I have to put something else in there with it to keep it company!

I refrigerate my sniper rifles. You have to keep them in a climate-controlled setting, or they'll degrade. Not really, but it does seem like breathing on them breaks them.

The title says it all. I was wondering what odd things others do, like for example collecting things, avoiding certain areas for reasons other than it being too hard, making ugly characters, etc. I for one collect some random junk that I think would look good in my house in Megaton, like coffee pots and pencils and whatnot. I also try to make ugly characters. So, what odd things do you do?

I collect books, liquor, beer, and chems.

My place is a mess.

I tend to stare at the dead bodies of those I just killed. I take their helmets off to see what they looked like. It`s always sad to see a pretty girl under that raider crap. Oh well. She tried to kill me- Had no choice.

I feel exactly same about them. Why do they even try attacking probably the most heavily armed person in the Wasteland with just a lead pipe?

At the moment I'm moving those very small gnomes by to Megaton, which has to be done one at a time, otherwise they combine into a normal sized one.

I periodically decide to break into somebodies house and not take anything. I mostly break into Billy Creel's house and sit at his table and wait for him to start yelling at me.

I love to assassinate Confessor Cromwell over and over again.

I jump off of things. I guess it goes with a strange philosophy I picked up about gaming. 'If it looks cool, you're winning.' I'm not sure if it applies to all games, but I don't really want to play games where it doesn't apply. So I'll jump off of things and shoot muties in the face.

I have a really bad tendency to collect plungers so I can use them with my Rock-It Launcher.

And I like to collect every tin-can and store it into my filing cabinet in Megaton; I for some reason really dislike the bent ones.

Whenever I find a bobblehead I ignore it. This is because I have handicapped my character with 4 intelligence, and they don't know what's good for them.
