Odd zoom-like problem...

Post » Fri Oct 23, 2009 2:53 pm

O.K So I have never seen this before, and I have only just started modding Morrowind, I believe this error has something to do with MGE because when I click 'Morrowind Defaults' and/or 'Reset all Graphics Settings to Default' the problem is no longer there.

The problem is basically my view being either majorly zoomed in(only happens when i leave the room with Sellus Gravius), my screen gets stuck on like a grass texture, and when i try to look around it changed to a different grass texture..(I can still run around but I just can't see where I'm going unless i watch the minimap..)

First I exit the room, and I get stuck in this thing : http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i150/speedkill619/MGEScreenshot1.jpg

Then I push 'E' to activate it, then my screen changes to : http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i150/speedkill619/MGEScreenshot4.jpg

And as I move my mouse to look around, it changes to other pictures or something.. : http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i150/speedkill619/MGEScreenshot3.jpg

Please help, I really want to play the game with the enhanced graphics and I have no idea how to fix this issue. :(

If i remember correctly, Linora's Underwater Effect added some kind of a vertical obelisk during first run. Check if you're using that mod.

The problem sounds like your field of view is changing while playing. Are you using Morrowind FPS Optimizer? Also, try to look in your MGE settings in the FOV part (I don't remember where that is).

Lastly, I noticed the trap door in Seyda Neen. You may already know this, but MCP works without enabling "MCP Showcase.esp." That .esp adds that trap door to demonstrate some of the things that are possible with it enabled.

I'm not using the FPS Optimizer, I don't know what the FOV thing is that you're talking about, and thank you for mentioning that about the MCP, I didn't like the idea of having a trap door with like 10k coins or whatever..

Oh also, when I activate the random thing that's blocking me from moving, in the top left corner of my screen it says "Hardware Shader On", then my screen goes weird..

It sounds like E is the key to toggle hardware shaders for some reason. You could check the mge key bindings...

When I click "Launch Macro Editor" no keys except Print Screen are bound to anything to do with MGE :(
