An Ode to you, Elder Scrolls

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2009 3:04 pm

Good old Elder Scrolls you have been there everytime I needed an amazing RPG. I have yet to get bored of your latest child, Oblivion. But with all these new games Halo Reach, Black Ops, etc. I cannot find time for your Oblivion. This will all change with your new title, Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls symoblizes greatness in Video Games, it is to me the Best Video Game series, ever. It beats Fallout, TES being more friendly, and no so much wonder through wasteland. I cannot believe how you were even compared to that scum Fable. You are bigger, better, and far more creative than Fable could even dream of. Even being on a totally differant page than First Person shooters,I still can compare you. Yet again you mop the floor with all of those games. Having a perfect balance, and beauty. I call myself TheElderPrime, but as we all know. You are the true Elder Prime. You are the overwatch of all other games. Other games are good but you are great. Sometimes honestly, not even being a huge gamer. I still get svcked into your world of NPC's and Dungeon adventures. You seem like an Alternate Reality, screw second life it is you we should be in. But with every video game , something can be improved. I believe you will find a way to improve by reading us fans forum posts and seeing what truely completes your wonder.

Can't really say. I've only played Oblivion (I thought it was a rewarding experience). So I'll just say no. I'm definitely looking forward to Skyrim though.

Best series as of yet, has also provided me with the most gameplay time, exponentially more than other games, my second favorite series is Assassins Creed.

It is such an insane tie for me in between The Total war series and this one I would not be able to pick if I tried. My mom is going to pre order the limited edition for Shogun 2 Total War and she most likely will get the limited edition for me on Skyrim.

The Shogun 2 will be late Christmas it comes out in 4-5 Months. Skyrim I will positively get because it comes out 2 days after I turn 17.

For the record there is no place to get a job where I live and my mom is to cheap to pay me or give me an allowance. So please people no wise cracks.

YES. Mass Effect comes close, Bioshock too, and I like what Bethesda have done with Fallout, the older Interplay ones are good too. But Elder Scrolls makes my LIFE.

Only Fallout is a rival. We need one of these: :fallout: for TES.

This is a great game series, though I have only played Oblivion. I am interested in how all the lore ties together for the most part, unlike in some games where it is completely different.

1. Fallout (1 & 2 mostly)
2. Metroid
3. The Legend of Zelda
TES isn't even in sight.... Not that it's a bad series, just really not my cup of tea.

No, but close. Arena was meh. Daggerfall, great. Morrowind, best game ever. Oblivion, I want to die.

It's up there. But will never be the best because of a guy named Todd Howard.

You do realize that he was Project Leader and Designer for Morrowind right? The "best game ever"

I have only played Oblivion, but I can say yes, it is my favorite game ever. If I could pick one game to play for the rest of eternity it would be Oblivion.

Also, I love how it only took this forum section 4 days to get a tenth the size of the NV general discussion, which has been there for like a year now. :P You can really tell this is the series the fans really love.
