25% Off on PC Via Direct2Drive!

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:26 am

Direct2Drive is currently having an Easter sale, and orders of over $19.95 are 25% off with the code BUNNY. Brink costs $49.95, so you end up saving $12.49.

Total price? $37.46.

If you haven't pre-ordered, and intend to get it for the PC, now would be a good time.

Not sure how D2D works if you aren't in the US, though. Can't hurt to look, though.

Just thought you should know. Go check it out. :)

EDIT: Keep in mind this is a Steamworks game, so it will work on Steam no matter where you get it. The only difference, as far as I can tell, is the pre-order pack.

I like hard CDs for some reason, by the way anyone know if Amazon sends CD or are they like Direct2Drive downloads?
I still haven't pre-order waiting for more information.

Hopefully Steam will do a sale.

Wait, I haven't actually checked how much Brink is on Steam.

Edit: Now I have. £29.99, a fiver off! Fantastic.

They send CD'S

From the D2D FAQ

"Do you send me a cdrom if I need one?

We save you time, energy and shipping costs by not needing to wait for the postman. All of our products are available by download only. And think of how you save our environment without all that paper or plastic to throw away!"

He was talking about Amazon, and that quote is D2D.

I think most of this game will be downloaded from steam even if you purchase a cd. People complained about Homefront cd purchase because it had < 1/2 game on cd.

Yeah but the guy didnt add the tax, so bascially it is that much. They increase the price to 49.99 also, so since I bought a copy yesterday also, I noticed, that i got the same discount bascially too even if I would have used the BUNNY code.

I would do this, but Ive hard pretty terrible experiences downloading from dorect 2 drive. Every game I get takes longer than steam to download in comrade, and files are often corrupted from them. Just my experience.
EDIT: for those of you who are wondering about steams price, its $50.00 but they usually give a 10% deal near release time to boost preorder incentive.

If I'm The Guy, there isn't any tax. At least there wasn't for me. And as for concerns for the D2D service, I think you get a key which you can use for Steam. Gosh, I hope so. :P

Bumping this back to the first page, as it's still relevant, and there are still people who haven't pre-ordered. Hopefully this will help someone out. :)

Also, to anyone who has pre-ordered a game from D2D in the past - this was my first time - do they send you an email when it's available, or what? I know when Brink is coming out, of course, but I don't know when a pre-load option will become available, if at all. So, yeah, does anyone know if D2D sends an email notification? I'm guessing they do. Thanks.

Was thinking of getting it gifted through steam so I could play it 3 days earlier, but getting it for half the price of what I would've paid for it on steam + psycho pack was enough to go for it.

Cool, glad I could help.

Is it coming out on the 13th where you live, or something? I'm not sure how D2D works so far as release dates go, but for me it's coming out on the 10th. I'm hoping they release the codes earlier, though, so I can pre-load. We'll see.

Yeah, still a good deal. :)

Shame you didn't get the earlier date, though.
