I just think sometimes you have to ask yourself if what you saw was actually offensive, or if you're just looking for a reason to get up in a tizzy.

I never liked Arena or Daggerfall. I think most of the love those games get is a result of nostalgia rather than actual quality.

I'm not offended, mostly because A. That would be silly, B. Bethesda isn't that great of a developer. They're not willing to expand beyond first person free-form RPGs, they have an appallingly unethical marketing department, and they rarely pay any whit of attention to their fanbase if there's valid complaints about game design.

Do all of their games "svck"? No but Morrowind and Fallout 3 are the only ones I'd call great, so they're certainly not the be all and end all of the RPG genre either (at least not in my opinion).

I love Bethesda, but to be offended by this is a bit ridiculous. So many better things to be offended by is this world.

My wife doesn't care much for Bethesda's games and I care a lot more about her opinion than this guy's. Yet still it doesn't bother me.
